Is it the same card you used the last time you re-upped your membership?

There were some people that didn't even order Over-Run, and they got hit with fradulent charges. I think that if you used your card at TFCC for any reason before they switched servers last Tuesday, then there is the risk of having your CC compromised.

I have a different CC now than I did when I re-upped last year, and I wasn't successful in ordering last Monday. I ordered Wednesday, after they switched, and haven't had any problems (yet).

Yup, and that may have more to do with it than Over-Run. I renewed just a couple weeks before.

I think you're right (see my edited post). If your card was on file at TFCC at all, (Over-Run or not), then you were likely compromised.

And now GogDog has joined the rank of victims. Sorry to hear it, bro.
I was hit on Tuesday for over a grand after the Monday preorder catastrophe (same card I used to join the club two months ago), and still feeling the residual financial sting.

TFCC has YET to reply to any of my emails, not that it really matters anymore at this point.

I cancelled my card before anything had a chance to happen. Looking at what everyone is saying now, I'm sure my number was compromised as it's the same card I joined the club with last year, ordered cheetor with, and ordered Runabout with on Monday.

TFSource did the same thing to me when their credit system got messed with. I signed up for the paypal debit card today and will be calling to cancel my current debit card tomorrow just to make sure nothing fishy happens with my account.

Just worrying about this is enough for me not to go back to funpub for anything again, which is pretty much what I did with TFSource.

To my knowledge, the TFCC does not keep card numbers 'on file'.

Yeah, they've forever lost me as a costumer.

Sucks, I was super excited about the exclusives. Couldn't get them at all because I was still deep in overdraft till after they sold out.

From this point, I don't care how amazing the exclusives are. I'm never giving funpub another penny of my money. Their clumsy business practices and complete LACK of costumer service through out this ordeal has left me with nothing but disdain.

Luckily my bank declined the charges because they were overseas. Still it my primary source of money suspended for a week though until I get the new bank card

There has to be some sort of storage, otherwise how else can the current situation be explained? Far past the point of just being coincidental.

That is by far the biggest pain in the ass about it. Most banks will refund you the money with no issues other than a (normally) small wait, but waiting on that new card sucks so badly.

Not always. The card processors security may have been compromised and the numbers stolen after the TFCC submitted them. This COULD be the reason the processor shut down the orders on Monday. Again, lots of maybes.

Just go to said bank and get some cash out. Or cash a check at Walmart or a super market. Or get the bank to issue you a temporary debit card. Hardly a big hassle.

have you called the 1-800 number to talk to them? 1-800-772-6673... i know it sucks man, but it really seems like it might be whoever used to run their credit cards, not FP themselves... I could be wrong though...

I've been a club member for years, and have never had an issue... I would be worried about my wife's card, since she always reups my membership, but that card expired last year, so it looks like i'm in the clear... though i'll definitely still be keeping an eye on my account for awhile...

They changed card processors, which is pretty much all we can ask for them to do. I can't hold it against them, as it was probably their card handling company that dropped the ball, not them.

BUT this does give more support to the idea that they need to catch up with the rest of the internet and take paypal.

I can hold it against them. If they know ANYTHING at all they should have been warning us, not trying to sweep it under the rug.

Their current stance on the situation seems to be either deny or ignore.

So far it looks like those who've had issues with their cards are those who weren't able to buy on Monday? I got my order in with no issue as soon as pre-orders were up, so I wonder if that means I got in before anything bad happened. There's still a chance my number was compromised, but there's nothing on my account. Changing credit cards is a hassle and my credit card company won't charge me any fees if something does happen, so I won't cancel it unless there's a problem. I don't want to have to deal with getting a new card if I don't have to.

While my feeling is still that people are still being too quick to blame TFCC (and, for those who are nitpicking, any explicit connection between a TFCC purchase and these fraudulent charges would count, even if it ultimately was TFCC's third-party CC processor that was at fault), I thought that this article, which was written in regard to a wholly unrelated internet controversy, nonetheless applies to this situation, and I think fans on all sides of the issue re: TFCC would appreciate it.

Cartoon: Firestorm! (No, it has nothing to do with a certain flame-headed DC superhero...)

Paid for a membership early on Monday and paid for Over-run a few minutes after they went on sale. Still no weird charges on my card. Still checking every day to see if there's an issue. I had to cancel my card once before (after the tfsource ordeal) they'll just love me if I have to do it again.

While thankfully I have not had my card stolen (I Hope) I have gone from having my order not show up, to having someone else's info when I clicked on my account, to having 2 show up (along with being charged for 2) and now when I login there are no orders listed, even the order I placed last year that was showing when I placed my order is not showing!

Of course they are not answering my emails either.
