It is definitely the box rubbing on it that's causing the issue. Mine has just a tiny bit of paint worn on just the one side. When I look on the inside of the box lid I can see a slight wear spot right where that piece sits.

They never cut the foam quite low enough for the figures to fit without hitting the lid. With this one I notice the piece of foam he is sitting on actually comes out so I pulled that out, stuck him farther down in there and put the foam back on top of him to keep him safe.

The real question is why wasn't he shipped like that in the first place so it would be protected?

Yeah that member was me! ;)

As stated before multiple emails is not an option suggested by FP for everyone. Karen only suggested it to me because International checks/money orders are stupidly hard to get in Australia not to mention expensive!

If they are easy to get in whatever country you are in I think FP still wants you to post in checks/money orders.

In Australia they suggest sending money overseas using Western Union. Wire transfer would work great except someone from FP would have to go collect the funds on their end and I couldn't see that happening hence I pushed for the CC option and came to the agreement of emailing my details for manual processing.

I haven't gotten mine yet, hopefully soon though I got confirmation it shipped. But hearing this makes irritated again. I didn't pay that much for a figure to not be pristine. I'm already dealing with this issue with my igear lightning I just bought and no one answering my e-mails over at Igear. *grumbles*

I think it should be an option offered to a lot of the international members at this point. The deadline is getting awfully close and I'm afraid they won't be settled on allowing paypal before it's too late.

I saw one spot on the top of the box that looked like it was were the figure may have rubbed against it but didn't see one for the other side. I didn't realize they cut it so that section under Over-Run could be removed. Like you said it should have been shipped that way to begin with.

While that sucks I'm a lot more worried about Runamuck in that smaller box. The plastic bag may help but a little piece of bubble wrap would be a lot better.

If I remember correctly you used a pre-paid card for that right? It seems that would be the best way to go for international members. Personally I used a pre-paid card before the site went down so I'm set and even if I hadn't being in the States makes it a lot easier for me to just send a check.

Without answers, anyone who allows them to process your credit card information is a complete fool.

True. I would still like to know why they think it is safer to put it in manually, which makes me believe that the card processor they are using at the moment isn't connected to their database. Regardless of the response if anyone wanted to take the e-mail route they should go with a pre-paid card so they don't get hit with fraud charges.

That said I'm surprised this late into this some people are still waiting to see if they are going to be "lucky" and avoid this crap. Maybe the front page needs to be updated telling everyone to cancel any card they have used in the last few years with the club.

If you paid via PayPal, open up a claim against them for the transaction. (If it is still within the alloted time frame, that is.) I've found they answer much more quickly that way, sadly.

Yup I used a prepaid Visa. Loaded $90 on the card when I purchased it.

They haven't charged my card yet but Karen assures me she has marked me as renewed on their database. At least I have her email as proof in case things go sour!

I had to email her again yesterday as I logged into my account and my expiry date hadn't changed. I assume she was referring to an "internal" database they are keeping while they are doing manual card renewals that isn't connected to the site?

You're only a fool if you use your 'actual' CC. Pre-paid is the way to go as you can just get it processed and throw the card away. The tools can try to steal from it all they want!

Better doing it this way and ensuring you get your Runamuck than to sit back and wait for answers and watch the cutoff date roll by.

I hope you don't get hit with fraudulent charges before they process your membership. Wouldn't that be some shit?

I'll have to check on the time because I'm sure you know they take forever to ship and get to their destination. It just has some tiny white spots on the legs where it looks like the paint didn't take.

And I'm completely off topic. Sorry guys!

At this point they should just take that shameful site down and put up a big blank page with THIS on it. :p

I forgot to mention the prepaid part. It would be funny (not for him) if fraud charges hit it first.

I still don't understand why they are being so difficult for international members. Open a temp paypal for them to send money to. Doesn't need to be coded into the site or anything.

Well if that happens then I swear their security issues go beyond and above their site!

The only way they would have access to my pre-paid visa is if the hackers have breached FP's email security! If that's the case the whole company might as well pack up and go home!

Why not? They breached everything else. And with the lack of information, assuming the worse is the only option.
They need the money. Badly. As I said in a previous post, my best educated guess is they need this money to make a planned payment either to Hasbro, a convention space or some other vendor. That would explain both the lack of paypal (excessive fees/risk of claims) and the lack of flexibility with concerns to the March 16th deadline.

If you haven't registered the card online already it may be a good idea to do that to keep track of any charges on it. I had to do that with mine to use it online and up until I used the last of the money to get gas I watched it like a hawk to see if it had any $1 Google test charges.

We are having zero cash flow issues. Anything that has been or needed to have been paid has been and on time as has been the case since FP first got the TF license. I can't stress that enough...

Also. The March 16 deadline has nothing to do with money and everything to do with logistics.

Well at least we know now for sure it had nothing to do with the well-being and respect of the international fans.

    Was getting worried.

We don't know shit... How can we possibly know what was breached and what wasn't when we haven't been told anything? They may not be a top notched company but until everything is made clear you still have to give them some benefit of the doubt that not all areas of their systems were compromised.

and what are you basing your 'educated' guess on? Sounds more like baseless speculations to me... I believe in cold hard facts (if and when I get them). I don't buy into bullshit conspiracy theories people dream up in the absence of real answers from the company.

Yeah I registered online as soon as I got back to my computer and have been monitoring it to see when the card has been processed. Still nothing as yet but Karen did say they would wait for a few to put through at once.

And that's where you lost me as a customer. You put logistics ahead of my security and my needs as a member. I'm sorry but logistically I can no longer be a member.
