Hey Pete, I know you can't give us details and stuff but based on what you know can you give us an idea of when we can expect some kind of answers to the more important questions we've been asking? Like who was storing our CC info and why?

Not so much meant as a jab as just a sad realization that FP is a much smaller operation that I ever expected. With the volume of business being done, I sort of expected more. All of the dragging of feet regarding adoption of new technologies and business practices made sense once I understood just how tiny the company actually is.

They probably don't know @ LamboTwinLove. I imagine it's up to Hasbro's legal team (or their own lawyer) as to when and what they can say.

I'm more looking for some big changes to take place before I consider renewing. Finding out why they stored our credit info is something I really want to know but I don't expect to know why anytime soon, unfortunately.

Actually, for the volume of sales, number of customers and so on, we are actually pretty much right in line with most small businesses. I have worked for large, medium and small, and we line up pretty much lockstep...

A main location, two remote offices, different supports and contractors from around the world. Pretty much how it is done these days.

Pete any chance you can tell me why funpub has kept creditcard information on file or do I have to keep asking/emailing and not get a response?

I understand that by us not saying anything on certain subjects people assume the worst, but there are certain things we can't discuss one way or the other until all the analysis gets done.

Pfft... come on... the IMPORTANT question is: When will we be getting our Runamucks?? Credit card fraud, identitypleft blaud.

Seriously though... on the Hisstank boards yesterday that question of the storing of credit card info kind of became a running joke. Running joke in that it was another in a long run of questions that either weren't answered or were answered with a "cannot comment". If it was ultimately answered and I didn't see it, please accept my apology with some candy and this puppy...

    EDIT: Well, damn.

    No puppy for you, sir!

We can not discuss any operational procedures until all analysis is done. We will be happy to discuss ONCE that is completed...

Indeed. I'm one of those who waited, even after the card I used to register for Botcon was hit. I got a fraud protection call today about my other card, the one I used to buy Over-run with, telling me that there were two $100 charges pending that I didn't make. They've cancelled the card and I'm getting a replacement hopefully next week.

Pete, I would like to ask a few questions.

I've seen one international board member state they sent their card info through multiple e-mails so is is safe to assume at the moment that there is no issue with manually putting in the card info on your end? Would you recommend members to take this route to renew, especially for international members?

There have been some issues with Over-Run having scratches on his roof where the transparent plastic is visible. It isn't really noticeable at first glance so to me it isn't really a major issue but it could be on Runamuck. What I was wanting to know is if you are aware of this issue with Over-Run, is it his box that may be causing it, and if so are there any measures being pursued to insure Runamuck doesn't have the same issue? I know this is a little premature but scratches on a white figure will be a lot more noticeable and deluxe figures are a tight fit for the boxes that have been used for the free figures in the past.

Yeah, it's hard to not assume the worst when you know much more from one side then another. I also understand that you yourself can only tell us what you're allowed or else risk getting into trouble with your higher ups and any legal teams you are working with and the like.

I'm sure you also know it's hard waiting for answers when something like this happens.

Thank's Pete for the reply. I have to say im not impressed, I don't recall ever giving consent to keep my credit card information on file with funpublications and the business has no reason to keep my information on file after my transactions have been processed. Looking forward to response to this once the analysis has been done. During the club round table will the fans have a chance to speak about the issues that happened during the last month or will you guys just have a statement during the start of the panel?

This one's been covered before. They claim they aren't going to censor anything. So as long as people like me don't show up with their torches and pitchforks, you should all get your chance to ask questions which by that point will be able to be answered honestly. (Or not.)

Thank's dude! After 300 pages it's easy to forget some of the questions that were asked. :)

That sucks. Luckily fraud protection caught it quick.

I'm assuming that some people would rather have use of the card and wait for something to happen? I know I would want to cancel quickly if I had another card compromised. That way I could get the wait over quick.

Well, hopefully there is very good coverage of that panel for those of us who won't be there and want answers.
