I heard people had issues with Protoform Starscream from the first movie preview line. But that was 5 years ago. I tend to avoid gold figures in general, so I'm not the best authority on the topic.

Really? I wouldn't have known. Especially since I was the one who did it. Thanks for pointing out what everyone else picked up on already! :thumbs2:

It isn't the color gold that breaks down, it's the kind of plastic they used to use to make it. They don't use it anymore.

    Hm. Lame.

Something about the combined aesthetic here really just comes off as PCC warmed over. NOT a good thing... the overall proportions look pretty crappy. I wonder if the same designer is responsible for this and the PCC line... because this clumsy shape doesn't really capture the feeling of FoC Bruticus at all.

Individually, I like them... but it's still disappointing.

I like mistransformerd photos. It's like getting a hint of what you're getting without actually telling you what it is. It leaves something to the imagination. Less is more.

Yeah the placement of the arms and the way the connectors stick out is what is bugging me. I can see a lot of third party companies looking into make a add-on kit to balance FoC Bruticus up. Either that or make a voyager scale Onslaught.

That's actually a very good way of looking at it, I like it mate. :thumbs2:

In fairness surely Hasbro, after 25+ years of promoting TF Toys, could employ someone with a degree of competence in transforming these things whilst also actually screening the result before throwing it to the marketing masses?
Just seems ridiculous to me but in the end, I really cant wait for these to hit Aussie shores. :D
    (In 2013...  )

If there is, they won't acknowledge being here, and/or they're keeping their identity as a Hasbro employee secret.

There are Hasbro people who do browse here though. Dunno who though, and we'll probably never know.

Hasbro employees come on TFW quite often. It's rather common for a company to hire spies to visit and post on their corresponding message boards (IE, Disney, Lego, Blizzard, ect).

The Transformers Vault book that came out last year specifically says that Hasbro's Transformers crew does have a presence on the message boards and fansites.

What the fuck is up with Vortex's colors? His sculpt is wonderful but he is the only one with colors that are way off tradition. Must there always be some sort of complete randomness thrown in?

Combined mode is iffy. But the Vortex just kills this for me. Hoping TakaraTomy fix that.

    Holy crap, Blast-Off is beautiful.

I'll be getting him even if I don't complete Bruticus. Because beautiful.
