In Hasbro's defense though, most of you guys seem to expect "SOC type" of combiners, but aren't willing to pay that kind of price...
That combined mode is one hot mess. I may still pick up a Swindle if he's available as a single. Passing on the rest and sticking with my FP Bruticus.
Ok let's get to it. Brawl-Doesn't look bad at all in robot mode, and a very sleek tank mode. Swindle-Again not too bad Onslaught-His legs look a little lanky, Definitely think they should of went voyager with him Blast-Off-I'm kinda in love Vortex-Colors are kinda weird and i'm not a fan of the rotor gun but still looks great BRUTICUS!-I'm let down =/ like a giant PCC they really should of made Onslaught a voyager. I wonder if you'll be able to swap limbs around?
Yeah, not really feeling it on the Bruticus form, although I'm sure if it's not transformed properly there will be ways of fixing it (*cough*"Third-Party-Fixin's!"*cough*). However, I absolutely LOVE the individual robots--especially Brawl and Blast-off! Regardless of how well the combined mode works, I'm definitely picking up all five. It's just cool that, in one team, we have as many figures as we did for WFC. And that's just the part of it.

I will buy it but the combined mode is disappointing compared to the rest of the achievements they have done on these guys. What's up with vortex's color scheme???
I'm willing to give it a chance. It's probably mistransformed, and those pics were taken at a weird angle.
Vortex has a hand in his leg, so it's obvious that at least the left arm is very mistransformed, so that's good news, since it's the ugliest and weirdest arm on Bruticus.
People whining about Vortex: those colors are in the concept art. So yeah. They're what we'll get in the game.
Like everybody else, I'm taking issue with the colors...for a very different reason. Three of the four limbs are all tan-colored. They should have left Blast Off black and either left Vortex his usual blue color or make the red more dominant (and darker). Sculpt/shape wise, yeah I'll be waiting for better pics of the combined mode, but Vortex and Blast Off have great individual bot modes.
Now that you mention it....he does look like he is "stepping" into the camera. Either the photographers were "dynamic", or they are just shit. I go with the latter.
Yikes, that thing went from 'possibly epic' to 'oh come on!' faster than the TFP RID reveals. What a clunky mess. And WTF is up with the colors on Blast Off & Vortex!? Everyone else is basically on par with their traditional color schemes, but those two... ugh.
All I'm now thinking is - Future case of GPS? Also most of the FOC Combaticons look like redesigns of existing toys, a-la G2 Smokejumper/Energon Starscream.
in other words, buying crap, will cause hasbro to make more crap? you need to look through your statements a little more closely. anyways, not saying this is horrible. it does look wonderful! i love the combined mode, and i like how blastoff reminds me of hearts of steal characters.
