edit: just saw what's going on in the forums as a whole. still don't get the specifics of this thread, but I get where the sentiment is coming from.

3rd Party news and info may still creep in, both in news stories and in this News and Rumors forum, due to information coming from Sponsors and their updates. However, the bulk of it will be kept in the 3rd Party area.

Personally, I like the split, it was annoying seeing the same ongoing discussion threads bumping news every day

Thanks for this. I do not give one single crap about 3rd party stuff, so it's nice to be able to scroll without having to skip half the articles. It feels like there is just so much of it lately compared to just a few years ago, which is good for those that like them, but brutal for those of us that have zero interest.

Thanks this was a great idea. I personally do like to read up on all tf news including 3rd party. I generally just read the headers but for sure this would help some other people out.

To the moderators and administrators, in the database/resources section would it also be possible to sort the 3rd party stuff according to manufacturer? It'd make it so much easier to keep track. Thanks

Are there any plans for a filter for people who only care about third party? How about a filter for people who only care about toy news and don't care if a DVD is coming out, or vise versa, people who only want show info and don't collect toys?
