I'm surprised at how expensive these two deluxes were, they ended up being around $50. Anyways not much of a line to grab these guys maybe Japanese people haven't been exposed enough to Prime to like it yet, anyways the minicon looks alright it's slightly metalic plastic. I have to say with these two being my first taste of TF Prime I'm ready for some more.

Like you said though, people were lining up to snag these figures, so no harm done. I'm still thinking of going back to pick me up an Optimus Prime. I just need to figure out how I can get away without having to by my son another new toy—he got a lot for Christmas already and he really doesn't need another one (not yet anyway).

You should pick up the Optimus prime it looks really nice, the price on these though are a bit higher then usual it seems like compared to the normal japanese retail prices. Nice shashin Masabon!

How much are you paying? Midori had them for under 2,200 yen (3,590 for Optimus and Bulkead), but Amazon.co.jp usually sells them for a little less and free shipping—you just have to wait a day or two.

If you're getting paid in yen, they don't see so much; however the dollar's loss of value will without a doubt make these seem very expensive, seeing how it's lost about 23% of its value:(

I bought 5 of them and noticed that ALL was made of metalic material - it's kinda hard to see the difference, but surely not a plain.

I got them from toysrus, i have to exchange so it is pretty bad but still cheaper then ordering online and importing if i wasnt in japan. The plastic does have a metallic sheen its nice.

Just picked up these two from Kid's Land (a Japanese brand of toy store) earlier today. The coloring on these guys is just lovely! I'll have to pick up the Takara versions of Cliffjumper and the Vehicon after New Years from the Japanese Toys'R'Us (so I can use a 1,000 Yen off coupon with them). XD I also got the purple drill minicon with my purchase at Kid's Land. Not too shabby; I suspect he'll look even better with a Con (of similar coloring like Megatron or a Vehicon) wielding him.
