I've actually set up a support forum for all of us and if you drop me a PM, I'll gladly let you guys have the details and welcome you on board!

I admit that the lack of information from Botcon is frustrating and it hurts all of us no matter what country we're in. We've had fairly stable dates now for the last few years so luckily everyone knows when to expect Auto Assembly but with Botcon changing dates and venue every year, no-one really seems to have a clue what is going on. I don't think they seem to realise just how much advance notice people really need when planning to go to a convention - arranging time off work, making travel plans, saving up, and in some cases, arranging for childcare.

If all the smaller conventions have their 2012 dates announced, surely a convention as large as Botcon should have been able to have done this months ago?

Anyway, good luck with the convention and if there's anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask!
No hard feelings, man. And we may just give you a shout, I like the idea of the smaller cons working together.

I can almost guarantee that this won't effect your potential visitor count. Now, if this were in direct competition with TFCon, Botcon or Slagacon, then I'd be more apt to wag a finger.
I don't think he was concerned about convention-goers. I think his concern was about scheduling guests- you know, speakers. There's no way either gig is lucrative enough for an artist/voice actor/writer/designer/whatever to take an overnight transatlantic flight, so both cons suffer for it because they're competing (if not intentionally) for guests.
Let's make lists of things we plan to buy and stand next to each other!

Was happy with this years set up. way more spacious than last year. picked up some great items as well. got asia exclusive springer and wheelie. armada optimus prime. 25th anni vector prime. classic jetfire, ratchet, galvatron and mirage. animated voyager optimus. back to the future delorean. rid sky byte. motu orco. 2 items that i was hoping to pick up were classics optimus (no one had one for sale) and omega supreme ( 2 were available but dealers were asking too much for the condition they were in). but the optimus primes i picked plus the 2 (optimus maximus and weaponizer optimus) i found at the local wichita target pushed me over 50 primes in my collection. want to thank Charlie Hoyt for being such a great dealer. i bought some stuff from him last year and an item was missing from the stuff i bought nd he brought it to this year convention hoping i would be there
