I highly doubt we are going to see Classic styled G1 bots. If we do they will be very obscure characters. As stated FP will not release anythign Hasbro is going to use and Classics isn't over.

It's too bad they stopped using him after 3H Productions lost the license.

 

Classics is dead, which is why so few figures were shown/discussed at any of the cons this year. We'll be lucky if we ever see those retools, and there are ZERO new molds confirmed. Dead as a can of spam.

I'd quite like it if this set was made of new characters (maybe using Diaclone colours or something) to add new characters to the Wings continuity or something

Totally different story dude. But before I begin let me clarify that when I said Classics I mean Classicverse/CHUG/ CHUGRST/ the complete line made of many lines.


When Games of Decpetion came about Classics was over. Classics was a 6 or 8 figure release that was supposed to start and end there .....unless sales where astronomical. Well before they decided to continue the line they killed it and the rest of the Seekers became a FP exclusive. I guess sales were through the roof cuz the line is long from being dead.

 

Are you refering to Classics as the official name to the original series in this line or Classics as in Classicverse including Universe, Generations, RTS ect ect?

I understand that it's two different scenarios but, my point was don't ever under estimate the fact that FP Releases could become Hasbro releases at any time.

The seekers were proof of that.

fair enough. One thing I learned is anything can and will happen. Too many examples of this to mention.

 

I figured it was just because they wanted to highlight the newer lines. But this makes sense.

At this time last year we had seen Jazz, Tracks, Wreck-Gar, Kup, Thunderwing, etc. This year: silence. If by some slim chance the line isn't dead, it's pretty poor PR to not discuss it.

Assume the worst, and when Toy Fair rolls around in 3 months with no new molds or retools, you won't be disappointed.
