    Nah, I believe you... it's just a surprise is all.

    Looks very shiny. Like he is lubed up.

    I think I am going to stick with my custom. But I bet this one is fine on its own when not next to the Takara one.

    It is like the Tracks pic comparing the united to the RTS. The RTS one lost, but by itself not next to the United one, it looks awesome.

    I do have to say that this post might have single handedly raised the value for Takara Unicron though.

    Booo Takara's Unicron is best :( 

    Money talks and the inexpensive Hasbro Unicron is way more than enough. Bring it on.

    When is the release date? Will it only be available on Amizon.com (minus other online retailers) or will it be available at retail?

    From the day I saw the newest version, I decided that it would be displayed in alt mode. Looks like that was the correct decision.

    Takara- bot mode, hands down. I love the weathering/panel lines.
    Armada- alt mode, the clear shell halves look pretty cool, plus I added the reprolabels and it looks pretty cool.
    Amazon- alt mode, the movie accurate paint is better than the Takara version and the bot mode just looks funky.

    I agree with most people, From the pics i saw on the net he looked awesome! but in hand next to the Takara Tomy version hes just to gold looking the silver paint is cool but Takara Tomy version wins hands down!

    Wow the amazon is for sale already? The pics are crazy to see 3 unicorns there. The Takara one is by far the best g1 version, amazon one is not bad either, the paint looks a bit strange. And the energon version is way off. The worst out of the 3 by far.

    Well, the pics are in and the conclusion is that the 2010 Takara makes the others look like dogshit on a shoe.

    Edit: I only saw the bottom most pic and didn't see there were more... yea, wow, 2010 kills it. Thanks a ton Rampage.

    And my 2010 comes WHEN? Tomorrow?! KNOW WEIGH! Yahweh!

    I still like it, not as much but still pretty good. Especially on my budget the Amazon one will be fine. Now if they would have used the orange shade from the Amazon one on the Takara one, Id bite the bullet and shell out the $, the orange on the Takara one just doesnt look right, especially next to screen shots from the '86 movie.

    Hm, yeah, those pictures make me feel a bit better about it. But when it's put right next to the Takara one it's like "woah, what the hell?"

    Maybe the upper half of the body is ok, but those blue-ish colored legs are HORRIBLE

    Ok, nerdrage subsiding, by himself he looks ok. The legs look off, but I think I'ma snag the Takara version. Or not. ARGH! What to do?

    I prefer the Takara version. Looks like I'm going to be skipping over getting another unicron. I still have my armada, the worst of them but a friend sold it to me for $15

    Funny you guys say that, cos I really like the blue legs, though I think the upper body is where he loses to the Takara one.

    For those who don't realize it, the color scheme of the Amazon one is an homage to the unreleased G1 toy. That's where the weird blue color comes from.

    While it's not as show-accurate as the Takara, I think it's a unique and striking color scheme. edit - Actually, I'm not even sure the Takara is more show accurate. He looks more appealing, but in the movie he really was more of a mustard yellow than a bright orange, and his planet mode was that blue color

    looks good. at the price that amazon unicron is going for i can get an extra and paint it to look like 2010 unicron.
