Kinda interesting Megan Fox’s absence changed ‘Transformers’ vibe, says Shia LaBeouf | Hero Complex – movies, comics, fanboy fare – latimes.com
It's a shame that Michael Bay is such a, well, cock, but I wonder if Carly doesn't actually make more sense for the story and the character of Sam at this point.
Well, hopefully it'll make the film work better than the first two. If the vibe was good, their performances will be good, and the film should fare better because of it. We can hope. I personally enjoyed ROTF, but it's flawed to Hell and back. Can't deny that. If this one's better than the first two, I'll be so happy.
the thing about transformers 2 that i disliked was that sam's relationship felt sort-of forced with this sexy character. In the first movie it worked because it was a matter of meeting her for the first time and getting to know her. back then, Fox was actually good. In the second movie, i think she felt alittle too good for herself. Rosie has a nice gentle attitude(unlike mikayla) so im looking forward to her performance!
Just reads like more 'The previous movie was negatively affected by *X reason* and will be better this time' spin to me. Poor old ROTF - so cursed by so many nasty things. That photo in the link of Rosie with Bay doesn't do her any favours. Makes her look like a Thunderbirds puppet.
Hm. . . yeah. I tend to believe Shia in this interview as he doesn't seem to be playing favorites towards Bay or Fox. From everything I've ever heard about Bay, his directorial style is very abrasive and tactless. Just MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!!! Get the shot! Get it done! Wrap it up! MOVE MOVE MOVE!!! So when Shia says that Bay had absolutely zero compassion or skill in helping Fox settle into a role that demanded her to be this sex goddess, I tend to believe it. By the same token, I can see how she would get pissed at Bay and trash talk him the way she did. James Cameron is another of those directors that was said to be more interested in the special effects and the shot than he was in the actors. It pisses people off. Sure, they make giant movies and rake in tons of money, but it makes people detest working with you. I wouldn't doubt for a second that Fox doesn't care one bit that she's not in TF3. She's probably grateful. Probably doesn't care about the giant paycheck she didn't get. Buuuut. . . looking at all the rest of Fox's movies, she tends to take on nothing but "sex-bomb" roles. Though the latest 2 movies she has in pre-production don't sound much like blockbuster summer flicks. Maybe she'll get to show her acting chops more instead of her midriff this time?
Interesting and now we know why Rosie is a better cast for this movie than Megan. I've seen some glimpses of Germany's Next Top Model and it seems like if models are some kind of whore, the only thing they don't do is having sex. They have to do EVERYTHING, no arguing just do what they say to you. No matter how you feel like doing it but you still need to look in a way they expect you to. Models are just like a living and moving mannequin. And I understand why Megan was sort of set up by Michael Bay because of this.
Thank you for my new sig... it was about time! I can see what Shia is saying. Megan did appear to have confidence issues, always trying to downplay her looks... it wasn't humility, it was that she has self esteem issues. Instead of accepting all the gracious comments, thanking people and talking about how she can improve, she would always downplay EVERYTHING positive people said about her. Bay's style probably just finally broke her fragile ego.
