True, but they both get contridicted by the movies. Also, I hate prequels to anything nowadays. Why? Because the Star Wars prequels burned me and turned me off the whole idea. It takes a really interesting prequel idea to get me interested, and I don't think this book series will have that.

This novel isn't meant for young adults or teens, I'm one myself and my friends and peers at school would jump for something like Twilight or Harry Potter. If they wanted to make a book that would appeal to young adults and teens they would have to make it some teen sci-fi story like "I am Number Four" (another film Michael Bay made) and fill it with teen angst and stuff like that. I will probably read this because I'm a hardcore TF fan but the audience this is intended for won't give a damn unless it was an "original" story that had nothing to do with the films.

Well, when working on the cover illustration I was told that this novel was set in the movie universe, in this case between ROTF and DOTM, if I remember correctly.

BTW, Amazon posted the front cover only... since it was designed as a wraparound/jacket cover, there's other stuff going on in the back cover ;)
Hopefully I should get the permission from the publisher to post the full artwork.

I dunno. Claiming Star Wars novels without the name Timothy Zahn attached to them isn't really inspiring confidence. While he was writing the Star Wars novels, I was totally enthralled. As soon as they moved on, things became - mushy I guess is the best word I can use.

I admit, I only endured a few books after the Zahn era, so maybe someone came along that tied it back up.

And let me be the first to ask - do we know if there will be ebook editions? I'm getting to where if I can't carry it on my Nook I pretty much don't bother with it.

Maybe they want those RotF Gears figs on clearance at Wal-Mart to move, so he got a book.

Most likely scenario. The ROTF Gears was a sad excuse for a G1 rendition. What would be a great figure would be a Scout Class G1 homage to him. The ROTF is not even close to being Gears. Just a crappy Bayformer repaint....

I was thinking that was Movie-verse Bumblebee on the front cover.

But yeah, there's still the mystery as to how exactly this fits into the Movie-verse's story (besides saying that it takes place between RotF and DotM).
