as much I dislike Transformers Movie cause the bots don't look nothing like what Tfs should be, I do admire the designs of the robots.

But these kits look to appear to have lots of parts with lots of detail, I wouldn't mind getting Prime to customize and repaint. I just wish he was bigger in scale

i think i agree with what you're getting at. i love that transformers have changed over the years. i don't like every design.. but i love looking at peoples collections where they have a Prime shelf.. it's need to see all of the different iterations of the character. the movie prime design is gorgeous.. ESPECIALLY in todays world with GIANT IMAX screens, big screen HD TVs and blu ray players.

i agree with the designers when they say that the boxy block look that we all love from G1.. just wouldn't look right in the movie. especially for people who aren't fans. the designs that they've come up with are a perfect medium in my opinion.

    $120 for prime
    $56 for bumblebee

i think $120 is definitely fair for prime.

i mean.. look at all of those parts. I LOVE IT. I'm seriously going to have a blast putting him together. plus, the accessories look awesome. i love that the swords aren't just one piece. i also think the paint work is incredible. like the buster prime/jetfire two pack, the flame outline color is accurate. it's a light blue rather than white.

the articulation looks great. i love the hand articulation. looks like for once a transformer can make a real fist without it being molded that way.

i'm happy that there are two different faces. and the head looks like the most accurate prime sculpt we've gotten thus far.

the ONLY flaw i can find on prime is that the fog lights (or whatever you call them) on top of his chest aren't painted.. but they're something i can paint myself.

i do wish he came with a gun or two however. either the two from rotf, or the big one that we've seen him with in dotm. i love transformers that can hold a gun with two hands and it looks like this would've been able to do that.

and i'll say it again, i LOVE that his hands can actually be replaced by his swords. that's one of the things that i disliked about the leader figure.. even though i fixed that problem.

what would've been EXTREMELY awesome is if he came with his trailer attachments. but hey, if not having them makes the figure more accurate, then that's fine with me.

the only thing that could make prime better is if we got a scale version of either megatron, starscream, the fallen, or shockwave. hopefully they have a couple more planned.

now onto bumblebee. i'm definitely not as thrilled with bumblebee as i am with prime.

also his proportions look a bit off. his entire torso looks just a bit scrawny, especially his abdomen. also his shoulder pads look disproportionately large. and his forearms don't look as thick as they do in the movie.

i don't know if this is what his gun arm is going to look like in dotm.. if not, then it's inaccurate. lastly, i wish he actually had wrist articulation. it doesn't look like he does, just because of how it's connected to his arm, but i could be wrong.

.. anyways, all that being said, he still looks awesome. but i'm just getting prime.

Wow, that is a lot of parts! I've bought and put together the Kotobukiya Proto Man / Blues model kit and that was pretty fun with a very cool looking end product. The fact that the pieces come pre-painted is another plus for me since I can barely paint the broad side of a barn (Proto Man still looks great unpainted though).

If the quality is on part with Kotobukiya's stuff, then I'm sold! I'm seriously going to try to find one of these when I go to Japan this summer. That said, I'm not feeling the bonus hook weapons at all and would have much preferred if they gave Prime a gun of some sort, perhaps his buster cannon. Here's to hoping they make a kit for my favorite TF, Starscream!
