    Got a boxed DOTM Voyager Shockwave, not sure if his bio is news to anyone.

    Few have ever seen Shockwave and lived. This is the hand that ensures Decepticon plans remain secret from the Autobots. He eliminates evidence and witnesses with brutal, emotionless efficiency. The only hints he ever leaves of his presence are smoking craters and the collapsed tunnels through which he travels.

    Also, his weapon officially is a MechTech battle cannon that converts to a particle wave blaster. His alt mode is called a ground assault mode.

    This is probably what Bay meant by Shockwave being more vicious than Megatron. Megatron is a monster, but Shockwave is brutally cold.

    Collapsed tunnels, huh? Sounds like confirmation that Shocky is connected somehow to the tenctacle drill bot thing.

    yes he is connected to it, as in the comics confirms this

    In Foundation: he is amazed by the Creature
    in Rising Storm: the drill bot is shockwave "pet"

    I sure hope this is portrayed in the movie; Shockwave needs to make up for the lame "main" bad guy that was the Fallen.

    Niiiice. Certainly fits with his comic portrayal. It feels like they put the "powerhouse" G1 Shockwave and the "spy" Animated Shockwave in a bowl, hit "blend," and an assassin jumped out.

    Works for me, long as he keeps his ambition.
