Having handled an Ironhide yesterday, I'm pretty disappointed. The legs aren't bad but the chest won't hold in place, and yeah... he doesn't have ANY shoulders at all.

His mech-tech is pretty nifty though :lol

Not bad for official hasbro pics.

They actually made the toys look pretty cool.

Huh, the feet look completely different to the testshot. Weird.

Ironhides feet are Mistransformed. Just like lots of Hasbros photos can be.

He is entirely correct. The only thing going for this figure is his Mech-tech weapon. Proportionality seems entirely wrong and anyone that likes arms on their figures should give it a miss.

Trust in Locustreign. He is your friend, and is trying to help you all!

Hmm, with a review like that I may stick with Recon.

Starscream continues to look really cool though. His head sculpt is bangin', and I'm impressed with the incorporation of the mechtech into the vehicle mode. (It's DETACHABLE, but if you like them, they aren't super-intrusive. Compare it to 2007 Screamer's weapons...)

If you have any previous version of Voyager Ironhide, in all honesty I recommend you keep it. Even if you don't - try and track one down before settling for DOTM Ironhide. The chest will fit together, but it takes work, and for some bizarre reason the arms attach to his body... at the elbows.

First impressions were based on an extended period handling an Ironhide yesterday morning. I was unimpressed. :(

Once you trigger the test transformation (done by moving a couple of pirces), it's actually quite clever but there didn't seem to be an easy way of getting it to stay that way.

Or even the HFTD Deluxe. There was a Recon Ironhide knocking around when we were having a bash at the DOTM one and the former is far nicer. I feel I should point out that I was one of the people liking this figure before handling it in person yesterday. It seriously left me quite disappointed. However, I will say that if you like Ironhide's alt mode and want something to stay permanently in that state, that it looks perfectly fine. On the subject of his arms, my first thought was that they are disproportionately small (almost like Alternators). It isn't helped by his shockingly long legs.

As has been said, the Mech-tech attachment is possibly the best thing about the figure. I've not encountered an accessory that yielded quite so much "play value" before. There's also some nice moulding and paint work on it. It shows you something when you've got a number of people saying that the Mech-tech weapon is the best thing about the toy...

    Wisdom.

Starscream does look cool, and I shall definitely be investigating him.

While we're on the subject of DOTM figures, the Voyager Prime is a lot nicer in person that people are making out from the photos so far.

About the Starscream... I wonder if those panels under his wings can fold inwards when in jetmode.... from the pics... it seems they fold outwards which makes it portrude from under the wing a bit.

Sounds like they tried to match Ironhide's rather odd arms, and that's why articulation is a bit limited compared to the other voyagers. But is there really NO movement? In the promo-pic it looks like the upper arms (or what passes for them) are in different positions, and maybe even balljointed?

The spindly leg issue looks like it's easily fixed though; just bend them the same way as in that pic!

I am disappoint with the news on Ironhide..he looks great in the pix, but if he won't stay in robot mode that well..maybe...his mech is awesome.

Starscream, looks like his mech is a ninja style double blade sword, again pretty awesome, but enough to buy another?? hmmmmm...

Peaugh just posted a review and they are on ball joints. I don't think he will be throwing his arms in the air like he just don't care, but I think he's got some movement.
