this times a million. I had already cancelled my Tak version months ago, but a small part was still a little worried. Now, thats gone. I still worry about the back kibble, but I know full well that regardless of that I will buy the US release
cool, but im not gonna pay another hundred for a trailer, ill wait for the hasbro release, and i hope the matrixlights up like mp optimus's, im sure it will
I would buy this, but the cab of the truck not being from the car is lame. Its just a shell former in truck mode.
sssoo good looking, cant wait for the US release, dont have the extra fundings for the JPN release at the moment.
Oh I'm so going to the bank tomorrow and placing a TFSource Preorder!!! And even if Hasbro does a U.S release I'm still buying that to. He is so awesome and I do hope there is a fishing pole and Daniel fig.
The amount of people criticizing Takara for not managing the physically impossible is rather sad. He needs all the real estate in his base body as it is to form his car mode. There's no way in hell they'd be able to fit an entire second canopy and hood into his body. I can see why "purists" might not necessarily enjoy the solution they came up with, and that's fine. But the disappointment I'm hearing makes it sound as if you actually expected anything else. Which I guess does fit into the amount of wishful thinking silliness that's become something of an epidemic lately... It's also not news. It was speculated as much the moment the galleries went up of the resin prototype at the toy show in China, which showed how the wheel arches in camper mode were the rear wheels of his car, and plenty of comprehensive shots showing the makeup of his kibble, showing no traces at all of the Rodimus Prime vehicle bits. If that wasn't enough, a good number of the magazine scans in recent month have showed off the basics of his transformation, including the hood/canopy parts swinging out from under the trailer.
True that mx I'm buying takara solely for winnebago mode. I just LOOOOOOOVE the look of that alt mode! Cant wait to get mine!
I'm so looking forward to this figure. And the great part is my wife just gave me permission to get him (or in other words keep the preorder I've had since he was first preorderable) and another great part is he'll hopefully be in my hands by my b-day in late Feb. I guess though, if I had any sort of gripe about it, it would be that I kind of wish there was a bit more height difference between HR and RP bot modes. But all in all, I'd say that's a pretty minor one considering the amazing job the designers have done. I honestly fully expected them to have to include the trailer to make RP's bot mode, similar to what the Fans Project(?) figure did. But really after seeing that one, I'm glad they did the MP like they've done. The 'winnebago' mode of the classics one, while cool to a degree, just doesnt look right with the elongated HR hood. I think the MP looks much, much better with the stubby front hood and shortened windshield, even if it has to store under the trailer. And really, at least they made it store away when not in use and not be a seperate accessory that'd end up being lost or broken.
Well im sure it would'nt include the trailer for the price they're asking but im betting they will reissue an updated version of the trailer seperatly or a Final Edition with the trailer for a higher price.
i don't know if it's been posted this info yet... by the way robotkingdom on their fb page wrote something other about the free Rodimus coin gift: "Every Masterpiece MP-09 Rodimus Prime will include a free golden coin. (It have "Masterpiece MP-09" on the back of the coin.) Also, it have a free MP-09 show case, no additional charge, but maybe need to pay an extra shipping cost. If feel interest, feel free to e-mail me [email protected] to get more information!" I think it's nice the show case !
It's due to reach Singapore by next Friday so we'll see. Hopefully will do a photo review of it if no one does it then. I can't wait. This piece is way too good looking. It's full of sex
