Star Wars Crossovers Anakin Skywalker with 4 modes

    I found out about this through Allspark.com. Apparently there will be a SW Crossovers Transformers figure, "Star Wars Transformers Class III" that will have four modes: Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Republic Attack Cruiser and Imperial Star Destroyer. It is set to be released this year.

    This was mentioned in a magazine called Toy News, and a photo of the page detailing this specifically can be found on Rebelscum.com, here.

    Interesting... so Anakin can go to the dark side in both modes. Hopefully the engineering improvements the SWTFs have been experiencing will make this work out cause it's an interesting idea.

    Wow, okay, did not expect this. My expectations are not very high, but if they pull this off well, it could be the coolest thing ever.

    Just the idea of a transforming star destroyer has me sold. Think any kitbashers will turn this into Spaceball 1/Megamaid from Spaceballs?

    Has a lot of potential. Hopefully it won't make he same mistaske as the other SWTFs (focusing completely on the vehicle mode and end up making the robot mode a disaster).

    I'm making a prediction. Switching between the two robot and alt modes will involve flipping the toy around to the other side. Vader will be on the back of Anakin, while the Star Destroyer will be on the bottom side of the Republic Cruiser. There will be transforming between the two modes, obviously, but that will be one of the steps. I also bet that you push one bridge down to push the other one up. Lastly, the robot parts not being used will transform into a "cape" that is basically the other ship. Anakin with a Star Destroyer on his back, Vader with a Republic Cruiser on his.

    I'll honestly be more shocked if I'm wrong.

    Toy News had more DotM merchandise mentioned in that issue, I listed everything back on the 12th when I broke news of the issue coming out.

    I would rather see Hasbro try out triple/quad changers in another segment of TFs, make their mistakes there, then carry over any lessons into the mainline TFs.

    Also, this sounds like it could go either way, but I'm cautiously interested.

    sometimes engineering two good modes when one they have look like specific licenced things is trickey enough, ( especially when one more is a human) but 4 modes that need to drastically different . . . This will be quiet the engineering challenge.

    I shall remain hopefull but will wait for pics.

    This could be cool, but it needs to be big...I'm not terribly interested in a kibble laden Star Destryoer that's 4" long.

    possibly a buy for me. Are there any other SWTFs that turn into the Star Destroyer yet?
