You know, it's an amazing thing... In Cullen's interview, he says the following: "Those traits are there consistently, and they have never been compromised. Looking back, when I was a kid, our heroes were embedded in good, whether we knew it or not." And I swear, that sounds almost exactly like something Prime would say, as if Peter dropped into the character just by talking about him. I think that's what makes his performance so great. He lets a character that's truly larger-than-life just manifest through him by always respecting what that character is all about. - Coeloptera
Interesting to see Cullens interview as well. I like how he feels so loyal, and it almost seems as if he feels a responsibility of voicing Optimus Prime. Some of the comments about Cullen's voice in Transformers Prime have really kind of appalled me. Cullen seems so into making Prime, well Prime. Man I was wishing Peter would do the voice of Eeyore. I really love the quote bellow. Frank is fun as always, and I really wish I could meet him, and Peter. They're both tremendous! I grew up with Beast Wars, and I never actually made it through G1. While I see Garry Chalk as the essence of Primal, and Kaye the essence of the Beast Era Megatron. Cullen for me is the definitive essence of Prime, and as Welker is of Megatron. These people have all added there souls into these characters, and as far as im concerned will never be able to be replaced.
