Not sure if this is news, but the whole city block on Broadway starting at 51 St and ending at 52 St is a big billboard of Transformers Prime. I took pics I'll upload them now. Also Times Square Toys R' Us's outside is completely covered in TF Prime. Like it's a corner of the block and looks like half a hexagon, one side says "Transformers Prime", one side is all the Autobots and one side is all the Decepticons.
I'm trying to remember how to get them from my phone to the computer ^^; I think I got it though! If someone can help me, I need to get pictures from my verizon phone to the "my verizon" website, it would help, google is not helping. EDIT: FINALLY WORKED!
Oh damn. I typo-ed my statement, it should be "one side is all decepticons" not all transformers. ^^; derp.
I love that we're actually seeing a Transformers cartoon getting just as much publicity as one of the movies.
Transformers Animated had a huge wall, 3d pop out thing INSIDE the Times Square TRU, but never on the outside. This is pretty cool.
Makes sense too, they won't have to divide the royalties like they have to with Paramount for the Bay movies.
The hype machine kicking in. Even though I don't really think the show looks as movie-esque as some feared, this poster is probably close enough to be mistaken for TF3 by the casual observer.
Wow those advertisements look way awesome and it being advertised at TRU! Got to be the best but........ hold on....... toys are not available yet!!! It's like the mis-timing with TF Animated again. Sad to say, with the hype for the show, the kids around that area and seeing those advertisements are going to want to buy TF Prime toys unless they just want Transformers toys period and can't tell the difference. Why does this feel like some mis-step/mis-timing by Hasbro? Surely their strategic advisors must have figured that out by now. *unless they are having an initial secret quick release of toys? i.e. just release TF Prime Bumblebee and Prime first to wet our appetites? One can only hope i guess.
I wish I took a picture of the Toys R Us now, but I didn't want to look like one of those tourist who take pictures in the middle of Times Square. .
I reckon it'll give an extra push to all TF merchandise currently on the market. A lot of shelfwarming TF:Cybertron and Classics were shifted back when TF1 hit. Plus, it's not just an advertisement for Transformers, it's an advertisement for their whole TV network. They want to give people something to tune in for.
dont worry, i already have when i went on saturday : http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/ae92/perceptibot/NYC trip/IMG_1606.jpg /ttly a tourist from canada.
