Iiiiiii don't think you got what he was saying. He was saying "Hey, they've observed the hype surrounding FansProject's Protector, and are releasing new editions of the Rodimus mold so that he'll be more plentiful and easier to obtain for people who want to get the set." Not that they're trying to steal thunder, or anything. (Not that I believe that's what Hasbro are doing, but that's not the point.)
I'm just curious to see what Galvatron will look like. I've been holding off on all the other releases so far
I really wanna know whats up with Kups wheels I hope there just mistransformed in all the screen shots weve seen.
There must be a mass retail release Junkion in the pipes for sometime next year. I could be way off base, but I don't think E-Hobby does retools/remolds, only repaints. Someone can of course correct me if I'm mistaken. EDIT: Well... I guess there are the Twincast and Soundblaster molds.
so (stupid question im sure) does this mean that a henkei hot rod will be reissued under a ehobby line? im gettin that ehobby is a 3rd party company that does recolors of existing has/tak toys. i also see people are arguing that the 2 (has/tak and ehobby) are workin together, how could you deny they work together when ehobby somehow acquires at a managable price enough of the official products to blatently sell everywhere online? either way does this mean that the pics are just of the henkei hot rod figure that they plan on recoloring? thanks to who ever takes the time to answer my hot rod questions
O-kay. So these are gonna be even more cartoon-accurate paintjobs of these Classics figures? How much more cartoon-accurate can they get?
Well, Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Scourge could just as readily be the Challenge at Cybertron decos (or at least near to it) since no version of that set has been domestically released for the Japanese market. There's no basis to speculate on the others (except for that Junkyard is to have the mold's alternate head and be sure to be in Junkion colors) because we don't know what the regular United decos will be yet.
They did a Black and Gray Hot Rod as Wildrider a couple years ago. No way they'll do it again. Again no, they just did a clear Rodimus earlier this year and a black and gray Hot Rod as Wildrider a couple years ago. They're not going to repeat the same exclusives again and again. That'd be completely ridiculous, and no it wouldn't be awesome as the FansProject sets only exist because of a preexisting figure, not because of a future release (just look at the colors of Protector - they match the two versions of Hot Rod released 4 and 2 years ago). No way they're going to cater to this, these releases are because of the hype coming from MP Rodimus and the 25th anniversary of 1986 if anything. You can't really count Challenge at Cybertron release because it was only released by Hasbro of Malaysia, so Hasbro's release of Battle in Space is the equivalent of that. This e-Hobby version is to celebrate the 2010 show (released 25 years ago). Hasbro & Takara couldn't give to shits about releasing Hot Rod due to FansProject's releases. Randy
Randy, as usual, the voice of reason. I agree 100%. Hasbro and TakTom don't give a damn about what 3rd party toy makers release for their products. Insignificance.
any chance that this could finally give us a magenta hot rod? I only thing I cold think of that would make this version really stand out from the others.
Working on the idea of 2 seperate 3-packs... Pack I - Armada, Sweep and Galvatron II Pack II - Magenta Hot Rod (perfect movie colouration), Junkyard...and Spoiler Sh!tpiece .
