Well, I have the MGT-01 enroute, so I am looking forward to this. I have faith in this after seeing the starts of MGT-01 and feel these will make great additions to my collection. They're not for everybody, but I like these.

I believe what you are seeing as wheel boobs are actually biceps. All in all I see alot of potential. Edit: Wow! I just saw how much they want for it. That's freakin insane!

 

That head reminds me of creepy ornaments from the 40s/50s. When they were crafted with low resolution detail and almost creepy vibe. Like this:

 

Wow! You guys are really tough on this. I know I've been hard on things in the past (mostly Michael Bay), but c'mon....

When I saw this I knew exactly who it was - which is a hell of a lot more than you can say about many G1 toy representations of their show counterparts (Wheelie, Warpath, Gears...)-- not to mention some Bayverse Movie toys (Legends Devastator, Sideways, Arcee?)....

And considering Firestar's cartoon model is a slick humanesque robot body with no vehicle kibble - I think this is a pretty damn nice translation of the TV design. And, translation aside, the aesthetics of this toy look pretty cool to me. Colors are nice, transformation looks cool, I like it. Very Floro Derry.

IMHO.  

 

And let's not forget, the high price reflects exclusive, low run, collector's item value of this unique product. This 'aint Hasbro... Not saying I'd buy this, but it's cool that someone is making it.

 

It looks more like a bad chinese KO of a bad Big Lots KO....

 

Have at it, then. TRNS 01 was barely worth $60-70... BARELY. But this thing doesn't look at all worth $100.

 

That's probably the worst pose they could've chosen for their presentation of her...

 

Looking at the picture again I thought only the head and backpack looked terrible, but really the overall figure looks like a pile of fail.

The white plastic looks cheap, the headsculpt, atleast from the picture, looks really KO cheap and lopsided (The right headfin looks thicker then the left), the only parts of the vehicle mode that seem to be integrated into the robot mode are the wheels, meaning she basically only forms the bottom of the car and on top of that the wheel placement in bot mode is really bad. The ones on the thighs looks really dumb.

Overall if the final product looks like this proto, and chances are it will, then IMO, anyone paying 100 for this is wasting their money.

I mean if you like it then fine, to each his or her own. I just think it's a waste.

I can honestly say i think this is awful, The colour scheme, the terrible transluscent cheap looking plastic, the head sculpt the wheels.

Don't get me wrong, its a hell of an achivement. somone has created a transforming figure and has clearly put a lot of time and effort into it, but for me it just seems unfinished. Like they got to a point and though 'ah that'll do'

My advice would be. resculpt the head, change the colour scheme and use better opaque plastics (and add some wheel trims while you're at it) and then we may be getting somewhere.

Thats what you call constructive critisim. If I don't like something I'll say what it is why and how it can be fixed

 

A lot of hate on this one! Nice lipstick. I see this working if she came with the other three femme-bots together as a package. They must also come with some energon cubes and instead of the white plastic use the grey that hasbro loves so much. The white face and the lipstick makes her look like the Jokers biatch.

 

Terrible.
