hmm i almost thought windcharger didnt have any hands. but i see him. looks great cant wait to fiddle with him. and i love how they gave him the magnetic joints from "the ultimate doom"

Good God this is beatiful! Best Homage ever. I love how he looks the robot mode looks similar to his G1 toy from the back. Also - very clever how they made his eyes black to homage to black visor in the toy. Still not a fan of kibbly arm shields, but it seems like scout style - I'll take it! Now give me a white repaint with a new head scuplt!
I want more scout class mini-vehicles now! IMO, this is the perfect size class to update them in. Scout class Cosmos, Wheelie, Bumblebee, etc. Also, Runabout and Runamuck repaints, NOW. XD
"Hunt for the Decepticons" is just the current promotion of the Yellow-box Transformers line. "Reveal the Shield" will be replacing HFTD.
First thing that toy needs is painted hands. For half a second, I had NO idea he had hands because they blend in so well with the rest of his arm. But for the size, I guess I can't blame Hasbro TOO much... It is Windcharger, after all...
I know the g1 cartoon had a buncha robot with flip out gadgets. I just cant recall if windcharger used something like this. Can we call this a homage figure btw? When it clearly is the g1 character (unlike energon downshift)
i can see (nay hope) them releasing other minibots classic style in the scout size, i really hope they do bee and cliffjumper in scout size (the classics were just to damm big)
I'm rather disappointed. It's...nice I guess, but outside of the vehicle mode it doesn't scream 'Windcharger' at me. I must have missed the cartoon character. My recollctions are chiefly of the comic book character and toy - both of which had the very recognisable visor and 'fixed head' design. I'd have loved it if they'd tried to keep some of that.
Bee and Cliffy were fine. Don't waste new mold space on shit that's already been done. That'd be like doing Mirage and Astrotrain over before getting to Blitzwing and Trailcutter. I'd rather they get to any of the original cast that hasn't seen a domestic release (ie: discount the botcon and overseas exclusives) in anything other than Legends. That, and PCC Huffer doesn't even come CLOSE to filling the gap.
Hell yes, Windcharger looks AWESOME. It's so cool they included his magnetic beam gun from The Ultimate Doom! LOVE the car mode being vits from several different muscle cars too, as the driver of a Charger I approve! Can't wait for this guy. Hell, can't wait for RtS, period.
It seems that Reveal the Shield is becoming more of a G2 collection of sorts (at least to me). As Laser Prime is a deluxe instead of the voyager that Classics Prime was, I can see them releasing Goldbug as a scout. But 'Bee as a deluxe was perfectly in scale to Classics Prime. Allow me a few more off topic remarks: 1. Scout class Constructicons? 2. No more classics seeker releases please; lets get a completely fresh seeker mould out there (ref Machine Wars SS)!
