Frumble just looks too unbalanced, like it would be a bitch to pose him without toppling over. Ehhh, still plenty of time for something to convince me to get them when they come out. I'm sure seeing them in color will do the trick.

So, aside from the proto pics, these are the actual United versions and not just Hasbro placeholders, right? If that's the case, then so far I haven't noticed anything on the United pieces that makes me think, "screw the price, I gotta have THAT version". Henkei vs. Classics/Universe was a no-contest situation for most cases IMO.

Never, because the only time people here use the term is when a TF has leg construction similar to Movie Starscream.

Both will be released. One will be yellow, and one green, and Hasbro still won't tell us which is which.

Disappointing that they're not trying something inventive and innovating with Soundwave and his minions instead of just another Decepticon tank.

Oooh, I just realised, F/R's guns use the 3mm clip system. I like that a lot :thumb

And how do you know that Soundwave isn't coming out as a Voyager sized military mobile command base with docking for 2 tanks and flying drones? Personally I think F&R work well as tanks. It's better than turning them into Targetmasters...

Because we just got WFC Soundwave, Bayformers 3 is right around the corner and the line will certainly feature a new Soundwave toy, and TF: Prime also has a character called Soundwave. Hasbro will most definitely not risk releasing another Soundwave toy to avoid confusion.

By that logic, Classics G2 prime doesn't exist. Except it does.

Let's not jump to any conclusions about what Hasbro's going to do, until about 3 weeks ago, none of us even knew that there would be a new Wreck-Gar, G2 Prime, or Frenzy/Rumble, and WheelJack has only just been positively confirmed despite months of rumours.

Maybe it's just the angle, but I'm not liking what looks like a forced "piledriver"-mode for Frenzy/Rumble. It just appears as if its arms aren't fully transformed yet :/

That said, if I had the money I'd probably pick them up along with Wheeljack. G2 Prime looks cool but not cool enough for my taste, and I'm really not digging Scourge's alt mode; I get they wanted to give him a decent transformation, but I'm too used to his "classic" appearance ^^

That is a good point. However, CHUG G2 Prime is so similar to Baуformers Prime that I'm guessing this is the primary reason why they OK'd his release. Of course, that logic could be extended to Soundwave... but I really don't think so.

Honestly, the Transformers United toys I'm most looking forward to are Jazz and Tracks. So far we only saw the Hasbro versions, and both toys were suffering from a bad paint job (Tracks' weird tribal flames and Jazz' overall cheap feeling that came with the ton of plain white plastic on the figure and having all black wheels with no colored rims).
Amazon JP states that Jazz will get a metallic paint deco which could spice him up and make him awesome (Amazon.co.jp: トランスフォーマー UN12 TFユナイテッド オートボットジャズ: おもち&#).
Tracks' page doesn't say much, but there's no chance Takara won't fix the flames, right?

You mean, the hand that is holding a sword? I dont see anything wrong with it. It looks to be an open grip hand.

I'm not liking Fumblerenzy at all so far. The alt mode looks boring to me (yes, more boring than a casette tape :p  ), bot mode looks disproportionate and ugly with all that bulk in the back/shoulders and the piledrivers look more like a 'fan-mode'. I'm not going to write them off or anything at this point since we haven't even seen them in color yet, but it's definitely going to be one of those that I'll have to see in person before deciding.

Wheeljack is still looking like the better brother of that sculpt and I'm far more excited for him than Tracks. Never been a big fan of tracks anyway. Between his attitude, his corvette alt mode and his red face...he's always sort of reminded me of a douchy, drunk, midlife-crisis bail-jumper.

As complicated and bulky as he looks, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see these guys stand about scout sized.
