Henkei! returns as..............Transformers United

    Got some notification of the return of Henkei but with a new name and some new paint!!!

    Transformers United set for release in December 2010 brings us the following figures

    1) UN01 - Optimus Prime Cybertron Mode
    2) UN02 - Bumblebee Cybertron Mode
    3) UN03 - Cliffjumper Cybertron Mode
    4) UN04 - Megatron Cybertron Mode
    5) UN05 - Soundwave Cybertron Mode
    6) UN06 - Optimus Prime
    7) UN07 - Bumblebee
    8) UN08 - Autobot Drift
    9) UN09 - Megatron
    10) UN10 - United Straxus

    no pics as yet and we can obviously only speculate if the UN6 - UN7 - UN09 will be previous molds of Optimus Bumblebee and Megatron or something new, the figures also feature new metalic paint jobs.

    Should be getting some pre-order info soon but some of the guys from the east will hopefully beat me to it with pics, I needz to see these!!!

    Very interesting. I'm curious as well about the OP and Megatron, I didnt get any of the previous versions of the Classics/Henkei OP and Megatron and I've been eyeing them up lately. Cant wait for some pics.

    I don't see how. Japan never got the Marvel comics, and additionally, Straxus appeared in two different colour schemes in his two appearances in the Marvel US comic.

    The colour scheme for the Generations toy is based on Straxus' appearance on the cover of the fan publication "The Obscure Omnibus", which Monzo gave the Hasbro team for reference. Cover colours by David Willis are an amalgamation of Straxus' two different colour schemes.

    Will the Hasbro version be out by then?

    I think we can expect a mixed bag, at best, w/regard to color schemes.

    I also suspect that they may shoe-horn some future non-Generations Hasbro releases into the line.

    HTFD Seaspray in G1 colors would of been perfect for TF United.

    Wonder if they'll have chrome.

    Only downside, that stupid acronym gets another letter. So it'll be CHUUG or U-CHUG or something equally unappealing.

    Takara is re-releasing Henkei Optimus Prime and Megatron right? I hope its in different colors. Probably slightly different colors on Prime like his hands. There's some black on it when it should be all blue.

    Aren't all of those figures going to be released under the yellow box line in Japan anyway? We've already seen Brighter Colours Seaspray and the other movie guys, modified for Japan's market.
