The Transformers Vault: The Complete Transformers Universe: Amazon.co.uk: Pablo Hidalgo: Books

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but I found this new (very) advanced listing for an upcoming book called "The Transformers Vault". No other details.

The publisher, Abrams, are well known for their lavish, all-colour coffee table type books (they recently released a Star Trek book called Star Trek: 365, which is fantastic) so this could be an interesting one...?

Interesting... I know Pablo Hidalgo is big into Star Wars but Transformers? That's news to me.

Edit: He wrote a GI Joe vs Cobra book back in 2009 and judging by the comments on Amazon, didn't go over too well with hardcore fans.

Pablo Hidalgo has voiced support in the past for the TFWiki, so that's a very good starting point as far as I'm concerned.

Hidalgo does good stuff for Star Wars, so I'll certainly be interested in finding out more about this.

The SW Vault is very cool. I'd definitely sign on for a similar TF-based book.

That's a great book. Too bad Pablo wasn't involved with it.

Cool, my first news credit - thanks guys!

The fact this says it is the "Transformers Universe" leads me to hope its an all-generation-spanning overview of the franchise. Timed nicely with the release of TF3 as well...

Interesting, might pre-order this now so I can get one before they sell out and get super-expensive like Allspark Almanac 2 (bah)

This should be interesting (and hopefully will have info on some lesser-seen characters, like the micromasters, or other gimmick bots

Aye, and I hear that people who have paid for it find it sitting in a back-order queue with no clue as to when more copies will become available...
