MP Rodimus is the TF I am most looking forward to right now. Actually, other than Generations Scourge, he's the only definite buy on my list as far as known items that haven't been released yet.

 

$200? Sign me up.

 

Most Japanese collectibles with similar size and gimmicks cost around this much. Though the price is pretty steep compared to what we TF collectors are used to, I don't think it's unreasonable.

 

OVER $200. That puts me out--just won't do it.

Can't trust the Hasbro version. At that price point they'll find it justified to charge $99.99 (and if it goes back to TrU, they'll bump it to $110.00). It's a nice looking figure, but I can certainly pass on it.

 

Man i dont know why so many people are complaining.But i guess for some they have to look for somthing to complain about for me im jusy happy that its 2 in 1 really and its looks to be a nice figure as far as size color. I never thought it look like a space winnebago i always liked his convoy mode. So many people were complaining it should be hot rod rodimus or they will get fp protector and takara make there first triple changer or quad changer and it seems there are more people complaining. Look for one i agree the price is a little high i think $160 is fair for me but its not that bad be happy mp10 galvi. mp11 magnus with transformable trailer mp12 shockwave mp13 cyclonus mp14 scourge that year repaints of sweeps. OK there at the end i got carried away sorry fellas but would be nice.

 

I'll wait for the Hasbro release. If not, oh well

I hope hasbro sells it with convoy it wouldnt make sense to me.But then again almost everthing they do dosnt make sense to me anyways.But i know they will release thier version hopfully a walmart exclusive for about with convoy $99.99 then when on clearance $50 Yea.

I'll be curious to see Amiami's price on this. They usually have things at least 15% off if not more like 25-30% on some items.

If BBTS is the cheapest before shipping, something is really really wrong in the world...

Anyone doing a group buy from them? $137 before shipping doesn't seem too bad as I can't see EMS costing $60 for him (unless EMS has went way up since the Tekkaman toy released earlier this year). I'd be more than willing to participate in a group buy to save money on shipping!

He's gonna be around about $200? F#cking Hell! How much was MP-4 when he was first released? I'd pay that much for MP-4 but not $200 for MP Hot Rod & a pointless prop of a trailer... *shakes head*

 

As much as I hate to say it, $200 for an MP is just too much for me. I'll use the money on some vintage G1's and cross my fingers that Hasbro comes through.

 

wow. i bought masterpiece convoy from ebay at $180 when the first bay movie was released. i don't feel so ripped off about that one now. still, will be picking this up, but not immediately.

 

Actually, at $180, you got a pretty much "original retail" price on MP-04.

At the time MP-04 was released, the price was pretty much the same. My own order records show I had him listed at $175.00 on pre-order, and $183.00 once he came in. His original JPY retail cost was 18,000, which at the exchange rate of the time was just about $180.00.

 

According to one source the exact release date is January 29. From experience it could be released a few days early (sometimes later). IF the yen rate does not fall under 80 it looks like I can take pre orders for $190 plus shipping. I can ship based on zip code so those living nearest California would get the best rate. Unfortunately, CA residents would have to pay sales tax. Once my orders in Japan are confirmed I'll be putting a pre order page up on my site soon (Tempting Toys - Japanese Transformers Godzilla Microman and more!) Those waiting for a US release....well you will see.

Personally I'm banking on Hasbro coming through, and making this readily available here. And honestly, I'd be cool with just a MP Hot Rod. Screw the trailer. "Rodimus" is about the time it all went to shit anyway, IMO.

But if not, at least that's right around tax return time, lol.
