Yes, we do. This was launched for numerous reasons. We've been around a long time now (10 years!). We recognize that some people change, including us. We also recognize that things people were banned for 6, 7, 8 years ago may no longer be relevant now.

This is us giving people a chance to prove us wrong, rejoin the community and show that we're all just fans looking to have fun.

Can I use this if I plan on being banned later? Around when TF3 comes out?

Lol seriously though, this could be very cool or very bad. I predict a few troublemakers coming back in and causing issues.

This thread isn't for lamenting on who got banned. Please do not turn it into such.

I like this idea, people deserve a second chance every now & then.

If I get banned for that, can I get un-banned?  

 

I'm going with the latter. Heck, the idea of an amnesty program, in my opinion, is bull. This just gives banned members an opportunity to "apologize" just so they can cause problems again. Barely a few minutes of this idea being frontpaged and already I've found a major loophole.

Yes, that is true. But again, anyone who was banned for a reason would abuse the amnesty system like no tomorrow.

 

This is a good idea. Mods are human and can be hasty in judgment like anyone else. This gives people that have been banned a chance to show that they weren't so bad. Also, reinstatement is not simply open to everyone. It clearly states that they must be considered for reinstatement and they will be on a short leash for awhile. If they can show they are good additions to the site, why not let them in?

 

My feelings exactly. It's nice that the TFW Staff is giving permanently banned members a second chance.

 

Then they will be banned again. One strike = temp ban, Two strikes = perm ban.

People do stupid things and people change. Especially kids as they grow older. This is awesome, and a learning experience for kids especially.

 

Well, they won't last long then.

I figure that the mods will be keeping an extra eye on those that are let back in, and won't tolerate any BS!

This is by far, the BEST Transformers site on the internet. There will be some happy members coming back and likely will keep their cool.

 

There are no major loopholes. Perhaps you should read the post again (or to begin with).

• Not everyone requesting reinstatement will get their wish.
• They will be on an extremely short leash if/when they do come back.

Just because someone apologizes doesn't mean we're gonna go all Elmer Fudd and become dopes and go "aw shucks oh-kay".

 

As long as Quintessons aren't the Judges, this is a really kind offer from TFW. This is a great site.

 

Maybe you shouldnt unban the ones who were banned for scam trading, as it would just be an open invite to scam again.
