Wow... Galvatron's tank mode REALLY could use some paint apps... I might pick this up just for the hell of it. What? $30 at Target?

I should be getting my set sometime next week. Hopefully I'll get around to doing a comparison between these and my Henkeis. The reviewer seems to mention slight mold degredation, and different colored plastic on Cyclonus' thighs again (grey and pinkish grey), but I'll find out for myself soon enough.

    Well thoughts:

Galvatron - Tank mode looks really bland and need extra detailing. Robot mode does look better, but I think thats because the purple looks good. Overall not worth it.

Hot rod - Is the yellow bonnet so bright it eclipses the flames? The bright yellow spoiler is also very off putting. We dont need to mention the windows. It looks unfinished compared to both the versions.

Cyclonus - The only reason people will buy this set. The colours look good and match well. Very little unpainted grey. Looks really good. Is he good enough to sell the set tho?

ohhh. did he mention the degredation around the elbow because there's a close up shot of it but it looked pretty normal.

Can't wait for the Cyclonus. Looks like the best of both worlds between Classics/Universe and Henkei :D

Hot Rod looks great in robot mode. Alt mode is a little......odd with the painted windows. Will probably use it in the Protector set whenever that comes out.

That Galvatron mold needs to be destroyed.

I want Rodimus the most. Getting sick of all the Rodimus toys without yellow spoilers. He's got the right spoiler color, the right hand color, face color, and right headlight color, along with show accurate leg color. Minor negative that the windshield isn't clear. I hate the Classics and Henkei decos for the guy. Cyclonus looks damn good too.

Galvatron's tank mode looks a little bland, but other than that, this set looks great.

It will be at Auto Assembly, doubt we'll hear anything about an american release there, so more than likely we'll have to wait for it to show up in a database or a Q&A. I really want this set just for Rodimus but I doubt we'll see an American Release. Please if someone knows for sure tell me I am wrong.

I forgot about that part. I think he was saying the elbow was misassembled, and that he had to cut it so that it could bend correctly.

Wow. I think I'll have to do some touch ups to Galvatron's tank mode. Man he's bland. I'm mostly getting the set for Hot Rod. I'll need another US Cyclonus to accompany this one so this one can be the leader of the Armada. Hope my pre-order gets in soon. Or we get a true confirmation of it being a Target exclusive.

If that is true, this is the most awesome news I've heard in quite a while. I really want a classics Rodimus without paying 100 bucks.

Galvatron: WOW. That brighter gray looks really weird for a tank, but otherwise doesn't look too bad considering it's supposed to match Galvatron's original gray. Some weathering and detail highlights should make that alt. mode look good. Robot mode also looks good, too. Just hope none of these are all loose-jointed.

Hot Rod: I'll admit the overly-bright hood nearly blinding out the flames is bad, but I don't mind the windows not being translucent. I'll just grab the reprolabel set for the figure and fix the deco issues where I see fit.

Cyclonus: The mix of colors works really well for this version, same goes for Nightstick (although Targetmasters didn't even exist in the original movie). Could make a nice "And His Armada" stand-in next to my existing Cyclonus.

Overall, I feel this set is worth it for that Hot Rod alone. Reason being that: A) I've never seen a Classics Hot Rod ever sell under $40 on the secondary market, and B) With the release of Protector/Rodimus Prime upgrade kit drawing nearer, the prices of that Hot Rod figure are only going to shoot skyward. I myself will be getting this set simply because I do not have Hot Rod or Galvatron, and I don't mind buying a second Cyclonus if for no other reason than "And His Armada".

Yes, when Auto Assembly announced they would have the set, they also confirmed that they would be Target exclusives in the US. Their information comes from Hasbro and while plans change I see no reason to doubt it.

Galvatron just got interesting, tank mode is bland but bot mode looks ace :)

Cyclonus and Hotrod are no brainers, they are must haves.

This is what I remember reading from the other thread...
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...y-2010-announces-massive-hasbro-giveaway.html

Was there a true confirmation later?

Galvatron looks a lot better in these pics, but that tank mode really needs some detail.

All in all these are still very 'meh' if you ask me.
