G2 Ramjet!! OH!! Ok, for that I will join the club.

Animated Transtech Cheetor. Hmm, never thought of a Blurr remold for that one. It's perfect, though. I may have to join to get that. Also, a blue Rodimus repaint as RiD Sideburn is very cool.

 

I will for sure Join for that!!! When should I register?

 

I like the Classics Rodimus Mold, but not a fan of the Sideburn character.

So they do a G2 Ramjet for a club exclusive, but not for the G2 Redux BotCon set? Odd if you ask me.

Also, I have zero interest in animated molds. They might be sitting on that Transtech Cheetor for a long time.

 

I always thought blurr would make a nice Trans tech cheetor.

 

They already said why. Hasbro was using the conehead mold at the time.

This also indicates hasbro is using the normal seeker mold, since they can't do the action master thundercracker deco they wanted to do.

Pretty sure that your opinion alone won't make or break this figure.

They just said they won't touch the animated universe for exclusives at all.

the only reason I can see that being justified is if they arent going to do it because hasbro's got that covered through generations or something.

Yes, I just read that info on G2 Ramjet.

As for my opinion, that is right, it's just that. But the fact that FunPub won't touch it for BotCon is smart. Animated is not that popular. I can only imagine the backlash if they started basing BotCon toys on animated molds. It would not be pretty.

 

Sure it is. It'd be more a hell of a lot popular than that elite guard set from last year.

Part of me wonders if they'd avoid the animated universe because of worries about fan fallout that could very likely put the botcon seeker debacle to shame.

EDIT: just clarified. no animated universe touching "at this time". thanks for clearing that up, peoples.

 

It seems to me that outside of the 2006 and 2007 Botcon sets and the hard to miss Punch/Counterpunch figure, the TFCC people have no instincts for coming up with figures worth a damn. The upcoming exclusives are terrible choices, IMO. Who's the brain behind some of these decisions?

 

Hasbro said previously in a Q&A or Panel that Blurr was derived from the concept drawings for TT Cheetor - thus the super skinny legs and the hubless back wheels.

 

The problem with the Elite Guard set from last year had to do with the molds used. Look at this year's set: full of Classics/Universe molds. Seems to be selling very well.

EDIT: Looks like they are talking about not touching animated universe, not necessarily the molds. Oh goody. Just what everyone wants to see.

 

I'm cool with that. We can get some stuff we can shove in animated anyways. Hopefully they'll hit that cybertronian prime mold for kup.

THERE WILL BE A LIMITED RUN OF 300 MORE PUNCH COUNTERPUNCH EXCLUSIVES. LIMITED TO 1 PER CUSTOMER, IF YOU ORDERED ONE PREVIOUSLY YOU CANNOT ORDER ANOTHER.

They are limiting them strictly to people who missed out last time.

 

It's fantastic to see the animated moulds getting further life and the potential for future exclusives is enormous.  

 

Will there be a bigger head?  

Nice that there are going to be some more available for those that want P/CP. Those should still sell out fast though.
