The new iGear Toys shop website has the smaller version of MP Prime (Faith Leader) set to be released 3/28/10! I searched the news and couldn't find anything about this. I got an email from them today.

Depite my poor experience with igear's products in the past, I'm still somewhat interested to see how this turns out.

Faith Leader? That's a stupid name. Sounds all religious/culty.

Surprised this is finally getting a release date. I thought they had maybe abandoned it.

sounds good. i agree, i need to see QC on this before i make a purchase. 95 bucks though? that might hurt them in sales. but we'll see i guess.

also on the page, i see a nemesis leadder. wtf is that? is that the same as faith leader but in black? why the same name as TOMY though? Unless they don't own the rights to Nemesis...

So, 95 bucks for a smaller version of the MP Prime mold...no, just no. I already own the original MP Convoy, the Hasbro release, MP Convoy with trailer, the other Hasbro release with the base, Ultra Magnus. All I'm missing is Nemesis Convoy and I think I'm pretty much done.

Taking a pre-existing Has/Tak mold and just downsizing/upsizing it IMO is getting stale and trying to charge almost the same amount of money for it as when the original/authentic Optimus came out is just ludicrous. How about charging 20 bucks for it? How about being more original?

Faith Healer to me made it sound like if the company came out with a cartoon accurate Alpha Trion, so even the name of the toy is misleading.

When you get around to a show accurate A3 as a proper 'Faith Healer' instead of a shrunken expensive ripoff of MP Convoy, I'm all ears, until then...EASY PASS.

Interesting, but utterly unoriginal and WAY too expensive. Pass.

yeah, I don't know if i'm willing to spend 100+ bucks on this figure. After all the hell they got for their piss poor QC on that command center, I'd have to wait for someone else to take the leap lol.

However, why is "Nemesis" cheaper than "Faith"?

yeah even the 80 for nemesis is alot for it. and again the whole qc issue deal. they have lost alot of hope for any future projects if they dont get it together.

only thing from them i ahve is the autoscout, which is cool, but even something about the plastic is off.

Hopefully they can get this and Megs out before Has/Tak shuts them down. I would love for my Masterpiece line to finally be in scale.

the masterpiece line will not earn its name in my eyes until the figures are to scale i love the line, im G1 all the way and love the MP line but i need scale, i dont know why im the only one who has a problem with MP Grimlock being half the size as MP Optimus, i also have a huge problem with sacrificing half my T.V. screen to "widescreen" , you know because when i bought the 50in screen i knew it would be way to big all i wanted was a 25in screen(sarcasm) please a line thats to scale.

Hmm, let's think about this for a second.

Right now, I can get a MP-01 for $100. I don't really care about scale, so that's not an issue, and I haven't heard anybody having problems with the toy.

But for about the same price, I can get an undersized glorified KO from a company that has a reputation for quality issues, all for the sake of scale.

    Decisions, decisions...
