I highly doubt they'd go through the effort of making that thing, just to scam people. More than likely, they're having some sort of problem.

I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who is releasing the KOLD Primes get a hold this guy and ends up reproducing them.

 

KOLD Prime?

 

Oooh, shiny! I checked the site but no shiny prime. I would totally buy that Prime even if it was a KO.

 

The first round of these, including the one pictured, were not good. KOTOYS is in the process of making a second batch that should be considerably better, and they should be giving those of us who ordered the aforementioned first round a free replacement plus a half-off voucher on a future KOLD purchase.

The order page is here if you're interested, but you might want to wait until the second batch is finished. I believe they are working on an all-clear version, as well as a gold seeker. Other Primes should follow.

 

The KOLD prime is just a gold plated version of the KO Classics prime. Its a pretty fragile, poor detailed KO, the head detailing is very disappointing.

 

That's not how its done, he would need access to the mold and since these are hand casted with silicon molds chances of that happening will be slim unless he was one of the 10 who purchased one and then decided to have steel molds made which also cost thousands of dollars to make.

I'd be all for it. It honestly pisses me off when groups do super limited runs on things like this. They could have easily went to someone that makes toys like this (fan made toys) and worked a deal to get it cast and mass produced. So if one of the 10 people is nice enough to recast these, then I'm all for it!!! These people want to choose to be stingy about the number made, then let someone else reproduce it and sell to people who understand that $500 is ridiculous when it could be much cheaper had they worked a deal with an established group.

Edit: BTW, it is an incredible figure, but come the **** on guys, you shouldn't be limiting greatness like you are and you know it...

 

1. It's a toy on a sensitive line.
2. The cost for making this kit is from somebody's pocket. Not from some company's budget.
3. Mastercollectables probably wants to stay around for a little longer before IDW jumps on their back.
4. It's a garage kit. It's not going to be anything from $15 ~ $30.
