This was rumoured back in march last year and its set for release in January 2010 - I have a small pic of it in pack which I'll try and load but from the looks of it the set is a Takara Tomy release and features Jetfire with the Buster Prime Mold minus the gun accessory ( in other words he is all chromed up)

No price point yet but may have some more info later

Prime - Buster version - no faceplate confirmed wholesaler appears to think its a straight repack.

We've also got it up for pre-order  

Price point for you USA guys working on what we're being charged and UK import taxes, VAT etc is around $175.

Because a black chrome Jetfire might make me hyperventilate a bit.

I expect it has to have the gun accessory as the Prime toy would be lacking the fuel canisters without it...

 

Just looks like regular Taktom Jetfire but cant really tell as the pic is only about 3cm wide and I cant get the bloody thing to load, I can email it to someone else in an excel sheet if needs be so they can have a go ?

 

Well, it could just be Buster Prime with the regular leader Prime non-transforming fuel tanks.

The package definately says Buster Optimus Prime, but it's also a TakaraTomy release  

Hopefully just a placeholder for a Hasbro release.

If Prime is without without the gun and just paired with a regular Jetfire, I really don't see the point.

 

It definitely says buster Optimus, but the picture next to it is not the same as Buster and Optimus has a faceplate.

I definitely want Buster Optimus Prime and have thought about getting a second Jetfire for jet mode. I wonder what the price point is? Because Jetfire can be had for $35.00 easy nowadays.

 

Are we sure Jetfire didn't get the same treatment as Buster Prime? He looks ALOT different when I compare mine to the picture.

...Although it may be the camera, I'm thinking we've got a Premium Jetfire in that box too.

 

If they do th e"buster treatment to jetfire too Im all over it, othere wise easy pass.

So, it's basically a Premium RotF Optimus Prime plus Jetfire?

I'll be honest: with Prime and Jetfire being so cheap at the local Wal-Mart, I've been considering picking a pair up so I can have Prime, Jetfire, and Power Up Prime.

If they come out with this stateside, I'm sold. My Prime will get powered up, and that Prime will go on the shelf.

 

I might be down for this after getting Bludgeon.

 

I can't help but wonder if there is some kind of non-disclosure deal between Hasbro and Takara. Like one won't say if they'll put out a certain figure until the other gets to milk it first.

Otherwise why the hell can't Hasbro tell us if we're getting this version of Prime at all or not? There are no national secrets here we've already seen it, a simple yes or no will do.

 

of course I hear of this news the same day I find out my Buster Prime is shipped  

 

This could be a good thing for me, since I missed out on the first wave of Buster Prime.
