I like this, but how much is it? I can't afford too much right now.

Hmm... an OP that isn't a truck of some sort? Prime vs. Astrotrain? Epic battle! I might pre-order KM-01 soon.

Any clue where the cheapest place (after shipping in the US) is to pick this up? I know BBTS has expensive shipping, but how about TFSource? Any other places to consider?

It was originally about an 8" tall resin garage kit that you had to build yourself. This is the new one done a bit smaller, 6.5" and an actual action figure toy rather than a kit

    $84.99 @ BBTS + Shipping.

To add... I got to see it in person a couple weeks ago. Its the same height as Classics Prime, when I compared them side by side. So voyager size. But with the trailer/base, I'd say he is closer to an Ultra class figure.

*has his on preorder and cannot wait for it to finally ship*

Though I'm pretty sure it was cheaper when I preordered mine, even with collector grade on it..can't recall and am too lazy to check (unless they can change the price they will charge you even after you've preordered).

Very very nice. I would prefer a more dark metallic use of the colors. But other than that, this seems to have turned out wonderfully.

The prototype I got to check out was all black, no paints. Quality was really good. I'm looking forward to the finished version.

Plus, despite the series being set in the US, all the railroad equipment is extremely/obviously European in design (probably because Guido Guidi is Italian), and European locos are on the whole, more colorfully painted than American ones.

(honestly that was a jarring issue to me---European trains in America aren't much of a disguise)

I've got it pre-ordered, but I may have to repaint some parts. The red cowcatcher, in particular, looks off to me.
