Damn, do want the Red Baron and Beachcomber. I'll overlook Beachcomber having guns - I'll just pretend they're heavy duty squirt guns, and that he moonlights as a car wash.
Shoot, I have yet to get Dune Runner, but now I need his repaint. At this rate, I'll have my own little army of S7 Buggies!
Have always liked Beachcomber's colors, so this is a no-brainer. Watch him be named something like Prowl.
Thats pretty cool. But the only reason I would get that would be to stick with classics and thats what Legends Beachcomber is for
Dammit, every time I skim past the forums, I read this as "Revenge of the Fallen Bonecrusher" and get my hopes up.
Not bad, but it's looking more and more like I'll never see an official Beachcomber repaint of Cybertron Hardtop.

Heh I bet if that mold was a frigging voyager or ultra we would've seen it for Universe, they seem pretty keen on making little guys huge ass Cybertron clones
My fear is that when Classicverse-3 rolls around, Beachcomber, Cosmos and others will be all-new molds ... in leader class.
I've oft thought that Hasbro have to much Iron(y) in their diet ever since they called a vehicle with no roof "Hardtop". speaking of which he's still the mold I feel would me the best "Classics" Beachcomber for me and a nice complement to Botcon Huffer. Anyway this is what the 2nd time they've made a new version of the Gun hatin' pasifist character with big guns. I think the mold will work more or less - I guess we can always pretend they are Freeze ray cannons or something that does non-lethal damge to protect the plants and animals "Man". I've been wondering if theres a new deluxe going to show up that is like that RPM toy car from the other week that is a NEST assault Hummer. That looks different enough from Brawl or Armorhide to be something unrelated to them. I hope tha that happens. Oh and the obvious repaint i'd rather like to see is Legends Springer as Incinerator & also Voyager Incinerator as Springer. I wonder if Armorhide or Landmine might get a legends toy sometime as again the RPM has made me see the potential of that too. I think i'd happily buy an Ultra Class Cosmos - heck I'm daft enough to buy a huge Seaspray that you can stack up Legends class Autobots inside as cargo (bit like a Gi Joe Killer Whale vehicle or the old Manta force toy from many years ago). If it was not just so recent that we saw a Boat Repaint - I'd begin to wonder if the Scout Boat might be made into a Seaspray Homage - I've sort of considered the 1st deco a slight nod to the Micromaster Seawatch though. I guess the black repaint is just designed to be acurate to a real Stealth Boat's colors. And Orange Dirt Boss would be nice - I hope they find a decent name for it though and if you don't want to think of it as Spoons then think of it as G2 Scavenger.
Undecided on this one. The mold is only average quality and the redeco isn't impressing me much either. Might get it to stick on my Classics shelves if I see it on sale.
If you don't like the mold, I'd say you're better off with the Universe legends one. He's a bit smaller but he has that better G1/Classics feel, and is probably cheaper anyway.
Not sure what everyone's problems with the guns are. I mean, it's a cool toy, in cool colours, with a cool name. Face it, it's a great homage. I just find it funny that some people are basing their judgment of this toy on some old character bio written 24 years ago and that 'Golden Lagoon' episode of G1. Look, just because some 1985 tech spec says that G1 Beachcomber is a pacifist, it doesn't necessarily follow that Movieverse Beachcomber should be one too, despite sharing the same name and colour scheme. I mean, characters change all the time in this franchise. We've had stupid G1 Grimlock in the cartoons, and scheming G1 Grimlock in the comics. The cartoon Ratbat was just a background character, whereas the comic version was Decepticon leader! And if you go by the toy bios, then Galvatron was technically only a 'City Commander' (i.e. in charge of Trypticon), not the leader of the entire Decepticon army as he was in the rest of the fiction. Basically, we shouldn't get too hung up if these homages aren't exactly ultra-accurate to the G1 originals. Because, let's face it, none of the G1 characters were particularly consistent anyway - and it's a shame if anyone passes on an otherwise good toy in the name of such a mnor quibble.
His bio could very well state he is a pacifist and dislikes guns, but he's forced to use them in a war so violent..I don't see the problem with the guns either. Luckily, for the people that don't like them, they come off easily!
I can only imagine that Bayformer Beachcomber is a hyper-agressive enviromentalist, the effects of the Anglomois capsules he used to inhale turned his brain into a wreck. Now all he wants is to rip Decepticon faces off. Otherwise, this mold would work better as Ruckus. Legends Beachcomber is a much better Classics Beachcomber, anyway.
