Originally Posted by Bgrngod I guess it depends on what else is required to get the mail away fig. More money or totally free? They've worked like this:
1. Buy 4 to 6 specially-marked toys.
2. Either cut off UPCs or peel off stickers included with those toys.
3. Mail in UPCs/stickers, a completed form (included in the marked packages), and a check/MO for S&H.
S&H has been $5.99 to $6.99 for all the mailaways I've done. I'd estimate the retail value of the exclusives at $9.99 to $15.99 (if they were a mass-release toy). New mold-ness has been variable. The George Lucas Stormtrooper had a new head and (maybe) helmet on a reused body mold. The Indy Crystal Skeleton was a totally new figure and throne. The recent Qui-Gon Jinn w/ Eopie has no new parts, as far as I can tell. And the upcoming Clone Wars Nahdar Vebb looks to be a completely new mold.
I'm guessing the mailaway will be a redecoed existing Deluxe mold. MAYBE we'll get a new head or weapon, but I'm not holding my breath. JARODIMUS Newest Addition(s): TF:RotF Fearswoop & Soundwave ("Gathering at the Nemesis"). |

The latest G.I.Joe one (25th Anniversary Doc) was a pain for me. I had to e-mail and call Hasbro customer service several times. I even ordered the figure twice thinking that it was lost in the mail. In the end - after I provided proof that my check was cashed by Hasbro - I received my figures; but it was fairly problematic for me ... what with me living outside the U.S. and all that. Quote:

I'm not sure if those most recent offers have been, though someone on here is bound to know. | I've ordered some mail-away stuff from Hasbro (the Indiana Jones one, unmasked Storm Shadow, 25th Anniversary Doc, George Lucas, etc.), and none of those have been open to people from outside the U.S. The only reason I've been able to order the figures is because I have an address in Florida. EDIT: And that's what I get for being behind in the news. It was already revealed to be a Deluxe! D'OH!
