About Concept Artist Steve Jung, Concept Art, Steve Jung Concept Art Gallery

I haven't seen these posted, but they may have been.
I'm basing that mostly on the fact that Steve just posted them on Conceptart.org, so I assume they are relatively new.

You can see some interesting designs that were not used for the Constructicons. Here's the thread over on CA.org if you are a member there and wish to give him props:

I love all the Constructicon concepts. The one with the sawblade stomach would make for a great toy - disk launcher action. Just back away if he asks for hugs.

I see now where the inspiration for the Hightower toy's robot mode came from - more's the pity he couldn't keep those awesome arms. Still, very nice to be able to know who inspired the design of the toy.

Not a fan of Hightower, to be honest, but I guess this explains where the Legends robot mode comes from! :)

Can we assume from his picture gallery that he's the one that originally did the Twins' bodies? This explains why 1. the Robot Replica Skids seems to be taller than the real deal, and 2. Mudflap is much bigger than Skids.

The last thing I still don't get, by the way. I am glad they made the differences less great in the final models, but it's still easy to see Mudflap has way more bulk. He has bigger feet, he has more extensions on his torso, AND he has wings. And a while back I noticed, where Skids has one tire on his back (his spare one, I think), Mudflap has TWO!

It would have been better if these two had been evened out more. They both have one big and a small arm, and their faces are pretty much each other's except upside down. But in the rest Mudflap is bigger in all ways..even in Ice Cream truck mode! :lol

The NEST base picture is cool, but what are those blue triangles?

The Constructicon nurse is badass, too. The other one with the sawblade is funky, but I think it is too much 'out there' to be one of the main Constructicons (might have worked as a random crazy bot in the background, though!). I guess they didn't need the nurse con (maybe originally to reconstruct Megatron?) after stuff changed in the story/setting, and they had to let it go? :(

Finally, some Hightower!! The "Nurse" constructicon has Scrappers face, I suppose it's safe to say that that his body, or alt-mode, was the only thing changed.

This art is really hardcore stuff, It makes more eager to see more art behind the official constructicons real soon.
