But the 21 black convoy are going to different places, different strategic points to have a morale boost on the Cybertron side. It could be different planets or different dimensions. The drone could be weak. But it is always nice to have some kind of a symbol that resembles the great leader standing somewhere nearby that reminds you of who and what the soldiers are fighting for.

Frankly, that's the whole problem with repaints - especially straight repaints, and doubly-so in the case of a character as identifiable as Prime - in the first place. This is more "playing it straight" than OMGBLACKCONVOYRULEZ would be.
