After all... they are going back and giving us a red Powerglide after fan reaction to the original all white coloring. Granted, it's a TRU exclusive for Universe 2.0, but for all we know... this will likely be some kind of exclusive for Universe 2.0 if true as well. It's not like Hasbro didn't straight up say that they would be doing Universe 2.0 exclusives during the movie line.
As for the Leobreaker colored parts... it's possible that they chose to go with that color rather than gold as they tend to shy away from using gold plastic or paint anymore on their toys.

That's a good question, but um,... thanks for attempting to talk down to me. I needed to be put in my place for relating my story. 
It can be theorized that the constant knife-edge pressure has gradually gotten to Punch, and that part of him has been lost, possibly irredeemably.
