Actual, proper ROTF voice cast info (spoilers!)

Yes, that's the in the preview clip that was online - it was cut from the finished film, however. Unless it was included in the IMAX cut - I only saw it in a regular cinema.

So Michael York WAS in the film?! Jesus Christ, I thought my brother was just joking when he said he'd seen that name in the credits!

If it was him, he certainly didn't say much; I would have been sure I'd have noticed a voice as distinct as his!

Oh, and McFeely, don't worry: it was Kevin Michael Richardson playing one of the other Primes, that was one of the credits I remembered very clearly. Your voice-act-dar was dead on the money there.

Just the little bit where they talk about "purpose", including Bumblebee's choked-out "What - is - your - purpose - Sam?" The rest of the garage scene is all there.

So it was a directorial call; that makes me a lot more comfortable with it, especially given that his reasoning pertained to an issue that many people have brought up with Soundwave voices in recent years. I wasn't happy with the idea that they'd just half-assedly neglected to do it for no reason, but if that's his judgement, then I can respect it. I still would have preferred it if the vocoder had been there, but like I said, I genuinely think that Soundwave was done in a very faithful way overall, and the Claw voice suits him well enough.

And Soundwave won't sound right??

Wait, wait, wait now.... are you saying Rampage doesn't talk at all? In the footage shown at the Botcon Paramount party, he holds Sam's parents by gun point and awesomely growls "Saaahm Weetweekeee". Is that gone? D:
