Crappy, but not surprising given the state of GM.

Now Ironhide is scanned a Van, or a Offroad Vechinel.

    You know what this means:

Ironhide is going to have to die in the movie. Just like Jazz and Pontiac.

Yup most likely but I don't think they have time to add that in.

Doesn't mean Ironhide will be out of future movies just because the vehicle is being discontinued. Odds are he'll scan a new mode, turn into a cameo-only character, continue being a major force, or just be in Robot Mode only.

    Or die.

I'll take the Ironhide TopKick off their hands if they don't need it anymore... >_>

I dont think it really matters. i dont see a reason why they cant hold onto a few Topkicks. But it would be a good excuse to change his alt. mode.

Bummer. I'm sure he'd find another new mode to scan, though I can't concieve of a reason why.

I dont get it. Why not just have dreamworks or michael bay or whoever just buy a few b4 production ceases and store them for the next movie? Unless that breaks some kind of contract with GM that they have to have the latest models of GM autos...

Who knows. I bet Bay kind of regrets jumping into bed with GM. The Corvette Centennial Concept will never see the light of day.

Will GM even exist by the time tf3 is being made?

    Ballsack.

    I love Ironhide's alt mode.
The only thing I would find suitable for him would be...
    1. a bloody battleship
    2. monster truck
    3. waffle

in tf3 why cant they just use the same vehicle they used in the last 2 films? you know, reusing the same exact truck they've been using, or do they have to buy a new one for each film?

I don't think this will pose a problem. They got about 2 or 3 of those on set anyway, so there isn't a real good reason for him to switch modes. Unless Ford gets in on it and he becomes an F350

    Makes a kick-ass alt-mode. Makes a crappy consumer vehicle.

That truck was darn near the definition of "excessive". (At least the one's that looked like Ironhide) No surprise at all.

So this means they're going to go dismantle all top kicks in the world right and there's no way he could keep the same mode.

What's sad is the idea that they MAY change it just because or corporate sponsorship.

I think the more interesting question really is what would happen if GM really did go totally belly up (which is unlikely)?
