Well, shame it won't be moving forward. That sucks.

Also, I don't know why I get this feeling of impending doom whenever someone speaks of the 'next series'. The way Hasbro has been going... I expect it'll be something along the lines of the movie universe... and I just don't dig that.

And isn't there a way that we the fans can protest, or at least write some sort of petition to Hasbro to reconsidder their canceling of TF Animated?

I hope this continues in some other form, and my heart is broken if they do not make some of the toys still. What a mistake they are making by ending this. It will be missed.

I'll say... I'm still missing Decepticon Swindle, Dinobot Swoop, Junkion Wreckgar, and Arcee... Damn, I'm actually angry at that canceling report on the Arcee toy. The prototype was already made and images where shown here. Can you guys imagine how much money has been thrown away by this entire ordeal? Canceling all the stories that where probably already written and the toys that where possibly going into process. I was hoping that they would make a Transformers Animated the Movie. That would be really cool.

If any of the people of Hasbro read this... on behave of all fans here, please continue Animated... PLEASE. :(  You are making a terrible mistake. Animated is cool and we love it.

No it's not strange, it's just the typical knee-jerk reaction from certain fans.
    The usual crap.

I agree about the writing. A couple of dumb episodes but for the most part it was way better than the Unicron Trilogy and G1. It is on par with the BW/BM. Although being a Transformers fan, I wasn't happy when those other series got cancelled either, (bad writing and everything) and I wasn't saying to bury it. I know there were fans of those other series that were a little more sad than I was so I'm not going to glorify it's demise. There are a couple of tools in these forums that need to quit with the hate. If you're in your glory, then start a Transformers hate website. Don't revel here.

Yeah, I can't believe no-one asked Wyatt or Eric about that! I mean, it's most likely the last time we see the team on Botcon. It's not like they cannot reveal it anymore, I bet Wyatt wanted to keep the name for a special episode but now that the show is over, I want to know!

Now what will we call her? I got tired of hearing even Prime saying "that female clone of Starscream".

All the clones of Starscream in the show are named Starscream.

The toys get individual names. No toy, no name.

Sadness overwhelms me.... i will really miss these transformers. and this universe. i live in serious hope for a comic book continuation. or, hell, even a videogame that might finish up the storyline completely.

wouldn't that be fun! a really cool x-360 /PS3 game that is in the animated style. we can but live and dream.

    From the first Hasbro panel:
Since her VA was Tara Strong the name limitation already didn't apply to her, as she was listed separately as 'Female Starscream' in the credits. She was just never actually given her real name in the show.

As far as the new series, maybe that's where Marty Isenberg landed after CN told him to clean out his office. I have a feeling that people's feelings for Animated will make it that much harder to get into a new show, tho.

I'm really sad to see Animated go.

Aside from the episode with Dirt Boss, Season 3 is a blast.
I hope the toys that we are seeing on the other thread get released.

So would people be fine if they continued Animated's continuity but adjusted the animation style to less 'cartoony'? Not sure how to word it..more realistic? Similar to Beast Wars' CGI was different than Beast Machnines' CGI but they were the same continuity.

Personally, I'd love it. I'm fine with the current look but wouldn't mind a more realistic look if the story was a continuation. Animated was the first modern series that I couldn't wait for the next episode. Didn't watch BW/BM while it was on due to not intested in animal TF at the time. Watched RID due to them back being cars/trucks. Watched AEC but while Armada was watched, both Energon/Cybertron had me watching the first few eps before giving up on it.

I'm surprised that at the Hasbro panel (where we were told the official cancellation news will be told) it was not explicitly explained just WHY are they cancelling the show. CN-deal? The new channel? Not enough sales?

At least I have not seen any such info frontpaged.

I'm just wondering, did anybody think to ask if all 3 Constructions were originally intended to eventually combine into Devastator before they were told of the show ending with S3?

I'm genuinely annoyed nobody in the audience had the cajones to stand up and actually ask them for a proper answer.

Yeah, me too. But I doubt that we would have got much of an answer about it at this point. Probably would have been something like: "Oh yeah, we really enjoyed Animated, but it's over now and we're really enjoying working on RotF too. Go buy movie toys!" :lol

In all seriousness though, it just seems as though every time this question has been asked to Hasbro in one of the Q&A sessions... that they have dodged it each time and brought up the upcoming movie line. Of course, it's very possible considering that was a joint venture with CN that they can't actually discuss the reasons for cancellation with us. Whatever the reason, I'm sure it's a lot deeper in reality than them just wanting to make way for the movie... I wouldn't be surprised if retailers were involved in the cancellation as well (places like Wal-Mart have this power to be able to dictate what they carry and such).

From the sounds of it it seems like that Hasbro had their panels designed to severely curtail question time this year, so it was less likely that someone would have had a chance to ask this question. Am I right/wrong in this observation?

No... it definitely seemed that way to me too. Especially with the introduction of Tyrese into the Design Panel. :lol  Not that I'm upset about that mind you, but it does raise questions when you combine that with the fact that Hasbro seems to have been avoiding specific questions lately.
