What did they do; hand the job over to the design team that does the Star Wars Crossovers? Enough already! Get back on track!! Why the hell is Spider-Man a racecar now? The bot mode is okay, but the car itself is just pure concentrated WTF? grumble*grumble* |

Otherwise it's a decent "futuristic" racecar.
Of course, I'd much rather see a return to the focus on more directly real-world-inspired vehicles we saw in the first wave.

I mean sure, they should have Transformed into TF characters, not big mechanized Lukes and Vaders, most of us agree on that, but the designs arent all bad, are they?
The only ones I have are the Falcon Combiner, and aside from having to deal with it being A ridiculous approximation of Han and Chewie, the toy design is brilliant. My Want List- BT, Alt, BTA, MP Wanted!! My Feedback "Big butts: Superior. Ability to lie: Negative." |

Having a giant robot Spidey or Hulk is sort of stupid, but the designs themselves are pretty good.
However, for myself, I think the Star Wars Crossovers are mostly a failure. They are rather nice renditions of SW vechicels, but as robot designs, I find the aesthetics tend towards being very awkward. Common issues are excessive kibble, rotund distended bodies, and short, spindly legs. They don't really have a good robot aesthetic going on, and they feel sort of fragile in my hands.
For what it's worth, the Han & Chewie mold looks better than most of them. I'm also a fan of the Turbo Tank.

Out of all of them, it's the only one that has comic precedent. As in, it was ACTUALLY IN THE COMICS. Granted this rendition is one of the toybiz ones they did. It's still based on something that did show up in his comic book. So this one at least I'll give them props for. Cause the bikes made absolutely zero sense. At least Spidey did own a spider-mobile. http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Spider-Mobile
This rendition though is based on what looks like to be the Toy Biz Marvel Superheroes one of the 90s, before his TAS or X-Men TAS. AFAIK, Mego is the only company to have ever released an accurate to scale with their line Spider-Mobile. But every few years, it gets a facelift by whatever toy company has the rights. Toybiz made 2-3 different ones, now Hasbro has made theirs, and also upped his arsenal with a chopper and bike, which is moderately new to spidey. AFAIK, the Spider-Mobile was the only vehicle he ever had, if albeit briefly. |
