That's my understanding. Sometimes companies have to go to walmart or toys r us and ask if they'll carry a product before manufacturing it (because without those stores who'se going to buy it?)

However if a specific store was in violation there might well be some consequences of some kind.

Consequence? Like what, Hasbro not selling their product at Walmart? That's not a consequence, that's Hasbro throwing itself a detriment. If they don't let a store sell they're product, both Hasbro & that store chain lose money. We don't need that, especially in the hellish economic roller-coaster ride.

Like maybe a manager of a certain store losing a bonus, an employee getting fired. Maybe even a specific store (not a chain) getting product pulled.

You're thinking to big here. Lots of management people have portions of their pay based off productivity and other criteria rather than exactly $14.75 per hour. The poorer their store performs, the less they make. (This may or may not be true of X, Y, or Z chain- but it does go on.)

school

I know in this day and age, Hasbro should have learned there lesson toys lines ago, they know these retail people are usually clueless and most of the toy manager's could care less what there underlings stock, I have know a few stores that don't even have one.

I am sure Hasbro could get these delivered to Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart could repack the boxes at their loader facility, where they pack by isle, then send those babies to the stores right on the street date morning.

Allowing all their ducks to be in a row before they have this "street date" breach and complain about it, you think they would be a little more on top of things.

But that would make too much sense, the thing I do love about this is when the old Robot Heroes came out I could not get them at Wal-Mart, but we went to the TRU down the street and magically they were slightly cheaper and allowed me to purchase.
