They were in boxes still, but they wouldn't open them for me. |

Some people just can't or don't want to read, but there are also cases when your shipping and receiving manager's breathing down your neck because you and your team can't keep the sales floor fully stocked, which of course leads to items net yet set for the sales floor finding its way there.
If companies cared so much about street dates, why don't they do what Sony did for the PS2 and PS3 (eg ship them days before the official release). Sending them weeks in advance is asking for trouble.
Aside from the slap on the wrist fines stores may face, do they even care? A sales a sale and store managers are always worried about their stores making their daily quota.
Nice finds by the way, but I do have one question: are you going to open those figures or what?

Transformed | The street date works for several reasons. (in no particular order...)
1.) One set date, no wondering or worrying when or if it should be out.
2.) Everyone gets the equal amount of chance to get the figures they want.
3.) It's a promotional thing, just to get us talking, sales planned, etc.
But some stores do feel they're above the say so and just do it anyway. (I applaud them (lol), too bad they're nowhere near me. lol)
There's nothing wrong with sticking to the date I suppose (though I do think it could be moved up, I'm not sure why it has to be at the very end of the month...) I'm just impatient. (As the rest of us are. lol) |
