preordered it today.

who cares about the magnet? Im sure they did their homework on the packaging specs as for the magnet to not affect the dvds, unless they want to lose tons of money on liabilities and claims

I think we've already got confirmation that Season 1 will be sold by itself, and there will be a complete series box edition as well. Kinda sucks. I'd much prefer separate releases for each season.
