well it didn't really address my main concern, and that is, will this game actually be good, since the first wasn't...

But that's kind of an unanswerable question. Just like all of those people in our movie subforum asking Roberto Orci very specific plot-related questions.

In my experience game developer interviews rarely gives the punter any indication of if the game is any good or not.

True, i had a friend who worked on the 'Wanted' game for the movie of the same name, and he mentioned that a year is not really enough to accomplish anything major in the design of the game, and he said you'd be surprised how much Hasbro and the team behind the film really care about adapted games, usually they're contribution to the game is more damaging that improving since they have no knowledge in game making and ask for stupid things to be placed, and block other things.

I removed the interview from the thread itself. Not really cool to just copy and paste their entire interview. They did the leg work, they deserve the hits.

Cool interview. Might still give this game a shot. I didn't HATE the original, but I did HATE those timed missions. Make a game challenging by balancing it out, not by adding time to everything.

I once farted on the set of Blue Lagoon.

The timed missions, the "battle zones", and the useless weapons were my biggest gripes. Hopefully the game developers had some decent game testers to make sure silly things like that don't happen again.
