Razorclaw! I'm sure somebody's called this at some stage. Certainly not me, I don't give two shits about BotCon, mainly cuz I'm still in smeggin' school. Still, this'll make a lotta people happy, I just know it.

 

Ha, whoops. First saw it and thought it was Deluxe BM Snarl for some reason. Silly me. It's that horrible Voyager toy from Cybertron, right? We just got the Lio Prime repaint/remold of it? Huh. Good to see it's consistent with the other Botcon toys - pure shit (minus Leozack, that shit is so cash and redeems the lameness of everything else so far).

Because Hasbro and Botcon are seperate. Hasbro said to themselves "hey, lets celebrate the Japanese Beast Wars series" and Botcon said "well okay then, if you're doing that, we'll produce Razorclaw"

Didn't they have custom painted Predacons at Botcon a couple of years ago? If I remember right, this is how Razorclaw looked.

 

Yes they did and the general response was that people seemed to love it.

 

Its a shame botcon toys are crap, I really liked last years and 2007 figs but the repaint of crappy figures blows my mind,

 

I know I did. I just wish they'd done all of those repaints; I'd much rather have had that as a set than what we're getting.
I'll more than likely get this, as long as it has a remoulded head. I love the G1 Predacons, and I don't have this mould at all in my collection.

 

This mold is crap, but the homage works in the Legends version I've got. I'll spring for this, because the head is remolded. But at this rate we're getting a white Runabout from the Armada Sideswipe Runamuck remold next. Ugh.

 

Cool. The first of the 2009 Botcon figures that I've been even remotely interested in. I was hoping that the souvenir sets might hold something worthwhile.

Don't get me wrong, some of the toys we've seen have been cleverly done, but for the 25th anniversary, I had higher hopes.

 

Also, the Predacon logo on here rather than the Decepticon logo is fail.

 

Its not fail. This toy is based on Razorclaw's redesign from a previous Botcon comic. Note the Predacon insignia in the image below?

Be careful what you say...! The moulds for that steaming pile of shit should be smashed while being exorcised by a priest. And then burned. And then smashed by another priest who is performing yet another exorcsim, and then cast into a volcano and...

It's probably being made to fill the demand for the Predacon Razorclaw shown in the 2006 Timelines comic, on the final page. That would explain the faction logo.

Makes me wonder if we're getting an Elita 1 Thunderblast remold after all.
