keep stoking those fires of denial....

they are not going to continue a series if there is no network carrying it...besides you can assume they would announce the continuation of it on Cartoon network if it was going to continue....

Cartoon network announced almost 8 months in advanced that it would be carrying TF animated when the series first started....

Guys, we ALL knew it wouldn't be returning as far as 2010/2011 goes, due to the fact that we JUST got third season and the movie take-over.

Not saying it WILL returns, but this is hardly the evidence to end 'em all, hell the 2007 upfront didn't even have TFA in it!

Eh, this could mean the demise of the show, but at least the toy line is still continuing. That and they could revamp it as a different show in the future. Still, I don't think this is confirmation that the third season is the end. It just means it'll be the only season to air this year. They could be waiting to see how the rest of this season does before making a decision on it's future, or lack there of. Even then I'm not going to get my hopes up waiting for a fourth season. I'm just going to continue to collect the toys, and wait for something official to be said about it, and either be excited that it is somwhow continuing, or collect the RotF line while I wait for them to start work on the inevitable show that'll come along in the time between RotF and TF3.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to say this. The Clone Wars show SUCKS. That is all.

Not entirely true......Isn't GI Joe: Resolute an online-only cartoon which is mainly geared towards collectors and longtime fans of the show? Either way, that is proof that a cartoon can air without a network.

BUMMER about TFA. Its just now starting to hit its stride.

Clone Wars by the way is a FANTASTIC show. At times its much better than most of the prequels.

Which is why there's still nothing planned for it after Season 3.... as far as 2009 goes.

Sorry but until we get it from HAsbro's mouth and as a TFA ISN'T COMING BACK instead of LACK OF EVIDENCE= EVIDENCE OF ABSENCE, not gonna believe it.

Thankfully we got Botcon, the only place where Hasbro will actualy speak up of TFA's future.

Nope sorry but, I'm comparing apples to apples or oranges to oranges. Whichever you prefer.

GI Joe and Transformers are both hasbro properties aren't they? Now try to follow along here.

Hasbro started an ONLINE ONLY (aka Webisodes.) airing of the GI Joe: Resolute cartoon for collectors and longtime fans of the show. A corresponding GI Joe: Resolute toyline is also available.

This is proof that Hasbro could do the same with TF:Animated or any other Transformers cartoon for that matter and that a network is not always necessary. (like you say it is.)

Well...CN is slowly losing me here.

The only shows I watch are:

Aqua Teen Hunger Force (but it's all reruns, so I don't watch it.)
Batman The Brave & The Bold
Robot Chicken (reruns as well, and the same friggin' episodes run into the ground.)
    Transformers Animated
The Venture Bros. (can't even find when it's on the schedule, besides, it doesn't return for it's final (*cries*) season until this fall.)

And the rest is a complete waste to me. (Yes, even Clone Wars. It's not a bad show, and you can tell they've put a lot of work into it, but it bores me now. I've tried watching it, I just...yeah. Boring. :( )

So, hopefully CN comes up with something good, otherwise I'm pretty much done with them. Once TVB end, and Batman comes to an end (and it will) I really have no use for CN at that point.

It would be nice if we received a few 90 minute specials or DTV (then broadcast on CN) TF:A movies. But...that won't happen.

Actually, reading the bumf at the start of the press release it says the shows listed are the New shows and it only mentions some of the returning shows.

Cartoon Network unveiled 19 new programming ventures, including three new action-adventure and four new comedy animated series; six live-action “alternative” half-hour series; three original live-action and one all-new CG-animated movie specials; and two hour-long original, scripted live-action pilots. Coupled with 164 new half-hour episodes of returning comedy and action-adventure animated series, today’s announcements represent the largest commitment to new content development in Cartoon Network history.

Of the 5 returning shows listed only Clone wars has over 13 episode in a season (clones wars having 20 - 22) That comes to 74 leaving 90 episodes of other returning series. And thats just for the parts of 09/10 the press release is about. They're talking about the 09/10 season which typically would cover July 2009 to June 2010.

We've got what? another 8 episodes of season 3 to go. Thats another 8 weeks worth if not more if there are any broadcast gaps.

Just because the production team has wound down for now doesn't mean they'll not be gearing up again. Bear in mind how long this stuff takes to produce, even if they started now we might not see it hit the screens until the latter half of 2010. So I'm guessing its most likely on hiatus rather than cancelled outright.

Why do you even bother coming into the TFA threads? Everyone knows you don`t like the show.

G.I. Joe Resolute is a mini-series of 12 or so 5 minute animated stories aimed directly at older, mature fans. It's hardly comparible to Animated in any fashion.

While a network may not be necessary, it's certainly a far superior way to present an animated series. Resolute will total barely an hour worth of footage, it's no better then a D2Dvd film, and not even a full length one at that. But at the same time, it's better then nothing, and if done well could be a great experiance. However, if three full length seasons of Animated wasn't enough to satiate fans, there's no way 5 minute long, limited run webisodes will do.

Would just like to point out that ATHF, Robot Chicken and The Venture Bros aren't CN series, they're Adult Swim series. Adult Swim is an entirely different network that just shares a channel with CN. Similar to Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite. Or the old OTB channel and Playboy...

Yeah, just because there's no season 4 in 2009 doesn't mean this is the last season of TFA.

This. Did anyone really think that if we got a fourth season, it would air before the end of the year? Heck, this season was greenlit before last Feburary, and it's just now airing.

Wow, you mean there won't be more Animated cartoons while that silly ol' multi-million-dollar summer blockbuster is dominating the brand for the rest of the year? Someone phone the papers! The world must know!

Hasn't Hasbro done this since the 80s? Every TF show has come to an end at some point.Even if TFA doesn't come back, everyone knows a new TF cartoon will be on the air at some point again.

Everyone didn't think this would be the TF series that would last forever, did you?
