A list of six characters where at the very least, parts are remolded, and you have the gall to say that? Electrostatic Shockwave comes with Ratbat, and we don't even know what Wingblade Prime looks like.

Save that for the movie line or something. Animated has more new molds that haven't been recolored than any series we've gotten in the past 10 years. Even RID was chock-full of super modes for the cars and Spychangers. Considering that the reused characters in this bunch still have new features to offer, I don't see the use in complaining.

Can't wait for Rodimus, though it would have been nice to see a few more of the new S3 characters.

Perhaps this is a sign that animated is going on hiatus, and picking back up in janurary/spring of 2010 and toy line wise later in 2010? It might have been something they decided upon after hearing the overwhelming fan response to Animated being canned and instead decided to just put the show and line on hiatus. I mean look at the gap between season 2 and season 3.

Remember, that just because they're in Wal-Mart's computers does not mean they are being released.

For example the Cancelled Titaniums (Shockwave, Brawl, Bumblebee, Arcee) and Alternators (Cadillac Megatron, Scion Redeco, Mustang Redeco, non-exclusive releases of Rumble & Ravage). All were cancelled (or in Rumble & Ravage's case - released as exclusives).

    Oh?

    Hydrodive Bumblebee - New mold.
    Blackout - New mold.
    ES. Soundwave - New accessory.
    Arcee - New mold.
    Rodimus - New mold.
Wingblade Prime - Unknown, probably new accessory.

Seems like a fair number of new things in the wave.

Whoa, wait just a minute. All I'm saying is that I'm more excited to see new figures instead of repaints, remolds, etc. I'm eargly anticipating all the new figures that will be based on Season Three characters. I don't care much for the new Bumblebee and Soundwave because I already have the original molds and I am quite content with them. But I still think they look cool.

I think you're mixing up terms though.

Redeco/repaint/remold doesn't mean old character, and new mold doesn't mean new character.

Aw, I was hoping for pics, yet another store listing that may or may not actually see release isn't that exciting.

I agree with Soundfire, more new characters less redos. 3/6 new characters is pretty bad imo.

Course as much as I love these figures the line is fail for me until we get Omega.

If you follow the link, it also mentions Golfire Grimlock and Ratchet. Yes, I am aware that Ratbat comes with the new Soundwave. But I already have the original Soundwave and I'm not about to dish out $12.99 so I can get the new one just for Ratbat. As for Bumblebee, while the Hydrodrive is in fact a new mold, it is not a new character.

Fair enough. But it keeps those characters in circulation for kids who missed out on the early ones, while still allowing for new product.

I can't wait for "New Soundwave" aka Soundblaster myself.

This to be completely honest I think animated will have a season four it wouldn't shock me I think this whole rumor is total bs I mean a god damn unknown source said it with NO BACKUP!!! Plus we all knew animated would go on a somewhat hiatus due to movie stuff its just common f**king sence. Plus the only reason hasbro can't say anything about animated season four is the fact that SHOWS NEED TO GET GREENLIGHTEN FIRST SO THEY CAN WORK ON IT!!!!

Fantastic to see new confirmation of Rodimus in there; I know we've all been talking about Animated Rodimus as partly-confirmed all this time, but given that that announcement was an offhand mention in a semi-formal Q&A, I was starting to wonder if that idea had fallen through. Seeing an official store listing with size class provided seems a lot more concrete, so I can start anticipating the figure in earnest now. :)

To be honest, it's an encouraging list overall; I know it's not the bonanza of TransWarped characters we might have been hoping for, but with the state of the line being as it is, that was always a little unrealistic. Arcee I'm looking forward to a lot, and it's nice to see that Hydrodive Bumblebee might not be so cancelled after all; Blackout and Wingblade Prime, meanwhile, I can't wait to get a first look at. I'm still holding out hope that Prime's jetpack might transform into that show-accurate fire engine trailer we've all been waiting for...
