...that's right. He IS on art for this issue. Forgot about that. And yeah. VERY interesting that he's trapped in another dimension... this sounds a LOT like the WW Fallen. Interesting to see that he's this similar. I'm guessing he wants the Allspark not for its power...but to break the seal on his dimensional prison so he can return to the physical realm.
It's subtle since it seems to be the same colorist, but it shows; I'm liking it a lot better than the first 2 issues's artwork. They just seemed a little...goofy? >>;;; Dunno how to explain it. Possibly it was used to seal him in the first place?
Hmmm. I think that's possible - although I'm guessing there's a reason he can't return through the artifact. He likely needs a conduit to Primus' power to undo the seal...specifically, the Allspark.
They changed the picture of Megatron on Josh Nizzi's cover for this issue. It used to show the ROTF design, complete with the giant crab claw cannon thing. I have a strong suspicion that Nizzi's cover for issue 4, featuring Prime fighting ROTF Megatron, will either be modified or changed entirely.
I doubt it was done for any content accuracy. So far, only ONE cover of Nizzi's has been vaugely related to the contents within - issue 1 of Alliance, the cover with Wreckage. The rest have all used ROTF designs and/or ROTF-specific scenes or settings. I think the cover was changed because of Bay's "Misinformation Campaign". Remember how hard he came down on IDW for confirming details about the Fallen?
Doesn't this further hint at the Decepticon logo being based on the face of the Fallen? The staticy image on the obelisk is blatantly resembling the faction symbol.
"Alliance" #4 should be next week, I think -- Thursday, 19th March (correct me if I'm wrong). "Defiance" #3 should be two weeks after that. This is based onm previous release dates, mind. I CAN'T WAIT!
The link said Defiance #3 is due March 18. And. . . . .this quote "...With Cybertron in a state of disorder, the fate of the planet may lie with the inexperienced and outnumbered Autobots." fate of which planet, Earth or Cybertron? if Cybertron, does this mean we might see some of Cybertron in ROTF?
